how did you fill in the screw holes?

How do you mean? The hardest part was drilling out the welded in screws the Soviets cut off in it during the refurbishment. The threads were still there. Of course I didn't have to do it since I had Frank Robertson do it. The guy I'd bought the rifle from had already knocked out the welded in pins.

Oh yeah, just for the heck of it. Here is a before pic.

technically it's a can not a case

there was a time not all that long ago when buying a case was only about $60

Yeah, I loaded up then. I have around 4,000 rounds of LB and HB from various nations in 7.62x54r, and around 3,000 rounds of 50's and 70's Yugo. 8mm. I have other ammo types, but not in those quantities.

All of it has gone up, especially the 8mm.
