They also fire when a bomber pilot is pulling a really high g turn which of course would not be possible in real life.I hope AI gunners are more reasonable this time, in later IL2 builds they seemed to have this uncanny abillity to either utterly fail (missed by a mile), or totally pwn (emptying a whole belt into your pilot), with very little middle ground.
Something about them was just really off.. and i don't recall it beeing that bad in the earliest builds of the game, but somewhere along the way they got worse and more annoying, and harder to kill aswell.
Here's hoping that won't carry over to the new game..
Lol I find more problems with their tiny heads myself ... (the in-game pilots, that isLooks very nice, but those pilots need to lay off the cheeseburgers. I think 7 should be enough for anyone at breakfast.
I know I honestly don't give a **** about it, but you'd be amazed at what those rivet counters on the IL2 forums are worried aboutYeah becaues ill have time to look at their heads or even player models when im diving in on them at 400 kph trying to hit them before they turn and blow me out of the sky or i stall.

Gee, that sounds kind of familiar ... lol.

Low level bombing is for girls anyway, real hairy chested men dive bomb.Slightly off topic but actually it's quite ironic that while flight sim people love to bring tons of diffrent stuff up or complain about them, since they added bomb safety fuses in one recent patch in 1946 -- meaning bomb has to fall for two seconds before it's armed, aka bombing requires bit more skill than just flying at treetop level and banking your aircraft for a nanosecond and hit 'perfectly' -- there's been so much crying and howling how it makes low level bombing too hard, is 'unrealistic', ruins the game etc![]()
It's great, even these days it is still a very popular game, Cliffs of Dover will be no exception every flightophile out there is waiting for this one (it's an instabuy for me).Ive always had a soft spot for flight sims, many of my early games being such, and I am considering getting this, although it would be an investment because my joystick has long since gone missing. How is IL-2 multiplayer, (dogfights, full missions?, gameplay in general), and singleplayer (decent? campaign or just individual missions?). Im assuming Ciffs will be pretty similar...
I have the Steam version of IL2 1946. Can I still play online?Ya there's still like 300+ people online at any given moment in IL-2 on the servers via Hyperlobby.
