I was playing DH today and it still amazes me how much people don't know. There are people that don't know RO2 is in the making until you tell them. That's ok, not everyone reads the forums but some people just refuse to believe anything but their own knowledge.

Some guy was crying about how "RO2 is taking so long when its basically the same game" and went on to say that it even uses the same engine as Red Orchestra. He saw alpha build shaky cam videos and concluded graphics looked the same and therefore the same engine. Try to tell him about the Make Something Unreal Contest reward and he says they did not win a UE3 license. Another person said that RO2 is a scam and doesn't really exist. Wow.

Times like this I wish a TW dev could just enter the game and prove all these non believers wrong.

Yeah, whenever I was in game whether in RO or DH and mentioned game 2, it was always met with distaste. Then again, these are the mass of people that just pick an SMG with the least recoil and hipfire spam anyway.

It's reality nothing else. This count for more games. Players who join a game community forum are active players who follow the game and its sequels. How many users are active at the RO and HOS forums ? 100? 200 ?

As i read they sold 400.000 copies of RO there is a chance you bump into someone who doesn't know anything about a new game or mods or whatever. They simply want to play a game and thats it. They don't care about which side the headlight has to be on a T34. And they don't have want to know if the IS2 was the best tank of WW2. They never visits forums and just want to play the game........ Its not ignorance they just don't care and have other interests.

While I am a RO fan, I'm not the elitist fanboy type. (At least not that elitist , I could careless where the T34 headlight is positioned.)

I was not even aggressive in my tone when I said stuff. Only thing I said to the player was "RO 2 uses UE3 they got from MSUC, RO1 uses UE2" after others were talking about RO2 and this guy barged in. Then others start conversing on the topic and the said player becomes an example of Godwin's law talking about TWI.

I just don't understand why there is so much hate for RO2. Its not even released, yet people treat it like TW is going to screw them over like the big companies do to their player base. No sense at all. Guess its just internet stupidity at its best.

(On topic of trolling, IS2 is the Greatest tank comments and talking about how the Germans bombed pearl harbor ingame is always alot of fun. There is always that one guy who doesn't understand sarcasm and proceeds to school you and everyone playing along about history and education. )

Oh yea, I wish I had a beta key, not in a active clan though, not expecting to get anything at all lol.

some people just like to complain about everything. the fact that they were complaining about RO2 at the time means nothing. those kinds of people have a stick up their asses about everything.

you think RO2 is taking a long time? look at duke nukem forever. the amount of time it takes to make a game is going up because of newer engines and higher standards and the amount of patient the average player has to wait for game releases is going down because the amount of younger and more immature gamers has skyrocketed over the years.
