My issues (freeze pc in main menu) proably has to do with the "CD- Bridge of druzhina failed to download" ad on the top right corner of the screen. When I previously tried to download the map via the game as it was taking too long I pressed alt + f4 and downloaded map thru steam workshop. After that the game stopped working. Everytime time I start the game it freezes my pc right on the main menu. HELP.

I will like to add that I never had a single problem with the game since day 1. I even have the In b4 reset achiv in steam. I have a radeon hd 5xxx series pci video card. 4gb ram.

Make sure you unsubscribe from the map in the workshop. It will keep trying to download and failing every time you boot the game up otherwise.

You can do this via the workshop page for the map. Once you have unsubscribed yourself it should work :)

Splash Screen Crash

For about 3 days my game has been crashing at the Splash screen. Originally the beta still worked but now that is crashing too. I've tried every solution on the Steam forums but none of them have worked and I still can't get the game to start. If you could help me I'd appreciate it.

What happens is my game just crashes as soon as it finishes loading up the splash, the screen turns black as if it's going to start the game.. Then it just vanishes as if I just closed a game on steam, even the little popup box on steam shows up with the latest things on steam. I've tried verifying game files, deleting config, re installing game, updating punkbuster.. Nothing's worked.

Haven't played since 28th March 2013 and now crash on each attempt to load at the splash or server screen.

Reinstalled etc etc and have attached log.

Servers are unusually empty..must be a global problem?

i bought the game 3 days ago and i still haven't gotten to play. It freezes almost 3 seconds into the main menu.
crash on main menu or splash screen (the one with the german soldier with his face covered with the assault rifle)? This thread is for splash screen crashes. Your dump file should go in the dump file thread. Not sure if anyone looks at them though.
You really should take a look at the "crashes at main menu" thread, or start your own thread if nothing in that thread helps you.

so i re-tried to verify the content via Steam and their's 1 file that wont verify consistently i don't know if any of you have this problem but I:confused: thought I'd throw it out there

I'm having this exact problem! Here's the log, since I'm not sure if my post actually went through or not. Hope you boys at Tripwire can help, my Mosin is getting rusty.
