I recall COD W@W had the same issue with hanging at the load screen for many gamers.

Simply by deleting a video file .. Treyarch.bik (about 32 MB) the game would load and run.

Too bad someone can't find a simple solution for RO2 like this one!

Game worked fine, had its bugs and crashes, but this latest patch really did it, cant get past the splash screen

While Tripwire works on this crash at splash screen problem ...

if you rename your Library/Documents/My Documents/My Games/RedOrchestra2 folder to something else like xRedOrchestra2 and restart RO2, I think you'll find that it'll start ok but since it recreates the RedOrchestra2 folder, you'll have to reset all your game settings.

Corrupted install???

Here are my .log and .dmp files. Looks like the path is messed up in steam or something... Looking for ROGAME.exe and can't find it. Though I have verified the game install through STEAM several times and tried to defrag the installation and no luck

not all the "Suppress=DevAss" are together... there's a big block of them, but then there's some other stuff and then there's a few more down below - make sure you tick them all.

For me it hangs after this msg:

No log, no dmp. After some tries, sometimes more, sometimes less it starts. Beta worked fine.

I never managed to launch the game, so I never managed to set my settings to anything!
So I don't care deleting settings if it can make my game works. But it doesn't.

Sorry I couldn't be helpful but your instructions still left my launch log empty.

Has anything submitted to date been helpful in correcting this hang/crash at splash screen issue?
An update on progress for us gamers who have not yet been able to play the game would be nice.

Do you see a light at the end of the tunnel or is more help needed?

I solved the problem for me. I deleted the UnrealEngine3 and RO2 folders from /Documents/My Games/. Then launch RO2 and wait, the first time may take 5 minutes to open.
