I found myself on a map screaming in people faces for ammo most people i meet just stare back. I remember in RO1 it was Christmas for mg's when it came down to ammo whenever someone passed by they would give you some.

Either people don't know about this or they have lost they're sense of teamwork.

A lot of people playing the beta are complete noobs. I'd say only 25% are RO1 vets and another 10% non vets who know the controls.

Most of the time I have to run all the way to the nearest ammo cache....PAIN IN THE ***! Or I go around to different people and ask them by name in chat to give me ammo.

The worst thing is there is a huge icon "Player X Needs MG ammo!" that shows up from miles away that tells you exactly where to go and who to supply....

I normally coming running for mger with the ammo. Feel normally a good feeling.

I have found in RO2 I come running but they are dead before I get there 99% of the time. But if I heard ammo call I will still come, this game is about your team not your kills. Pity not everyone thinks the same.

I always try to give ammo but I'm curious about something: If it doesn't give me the option to give you ammo when I'm near you and your character is yelling for ammo, does that mean I don't have the right type of ammo or is that a bug?

No that just means the hud elements are turned off. you will still give it to them.

Well if you're ever on a map with me, you won't ever have to worry about me not handing out ammo..... it's an easy way to get some extra points and only takes a few seconds to help out an MG'r.....

Most times I have a number of people giving me ammo without even asking, so I guess I've been lucky.

Though there have been a few times I was constantly trying to hand over some ammo to an Anti-Tank class for about 2 minutes, trying to figure out wtf was going on, then I got a better look at their weapon.... derr.

The thing about giving MG's ammo now if they are set up somewhere it just keeps putting you in damn cover instead of giving them the ammo, i've tried tons of times and just get locked into damn cover. It is extremely annoying, we need seperate buttons for cover/action etc.

THIS i agree with. i sit there and go into "cover" over and over again while trying to mount an mg or hand out ammo. then die cussing. the icon change is too sensitive to get it right.

I've had this happen too and in obvious MG locations like the 2nd floor windows+sandbags in red october factory.

the only use of mgs right now is rambo hip rushing, no need for ammo

I know it might be overkill but when requesting ammo, maybe tell people how to do it exactly? A lot of folks still don't know the proper keys yet.

I just wish it wasnt so buggy. Seems like it works more often if you go prone first.

i just routinely pass on ammo to MG'ers when i see them, wether they need it or not...

but i rarely see them nowadays... :/

The one time I ever had to ask for ammo someone came and gave some to me within 30 seconds.

I think because it says press the USE button to give ammo some people are confused, I know I was at first. I tried using the CTRL to give ammo to a mg but couldn't because he was on cover position or something so I thought it was the wrong button at first.

Just give them ammo when you're behind them, not when you're beside them and the cover system issue doesn't happen.

LOL lots of people are new to the game,it always stayed with me since RO1,whether MG needs or not if he can take ammo,every time I see I can give ammo it means +5 for me and who knows maeby he will save my rear end later on....
