Because it's sharpshooter. It would make it more realistic if they had a sniper rifle. I mean, a crossbow is a good weapon but come on. Also, about the british weapon. I DON'T CARE IF IT'S BRITISH OR NOT! I just want a sniper rifle. I don't want to boost the class. I just want a sniper.

I agree with you. It's inherent in the class name that the class should have a proper scoped sniper rifle.

The SMLE with a scope. The best bolt-action gun for Killing Floor.

It's so SOOO BORINGGGGGGGG, thoughhhh!!!!!

Can't i just duct-tape you to the SMLE? I could shoot the enemies long-range while you stabbed and hit them for me up close. LOL
Oh aye, because that's funny.

I'd rather just not have a sniper rifle added.
We don't need it.

You know the class name is 'sharpshooter' and not 'sniper', right? (They are actually called perks though, btw).

And if you think CandleJack's idea was boring, well, that was the only balanced idea. So, unless it misfires 80% of the time and kills the user, it would be horribly unbalanced.

The SMLE where you can reload in two loads of 5 clips, with an interruptable reload. So you can fire only having partially reloaded.

With a .303 British (7.7x56mmR) bullet it is more powerful than the M14/SCAR, but not by enough so that it encroaches on the Xbow's current damage.

This would make it slightly more balanced damage-wise, and having to unscope after each shot with a slow cycling of the rounds would mean that shot placement is critical. You wouldn't spam with this gun. It just wouldn't fire fast enough with enough accuracy.

Though you could beat back a horde of clots by performing the Mad Minute; just don't expect to be reloading any time soon.

The ammo that it fires would be

Real figures aren't really useful at all here. Some proposed in-game damage figures would be a better start.

yeah but you cant use the clips with a scope on the enfield. Ergo that scope just has to go.

Just mount the scope scout-style, or use individual rounds.

Scout-style mounting looks like this, and an SMLE is even in it!

This could be the best compromise between everything i can think of.

lol those arent real figures, theyre both at a muzzle velocity of approximately 2400fps, depending on bullet weight/grain.
the 308 is basically a "compact" ver of 30-06, same velocity/ballistics, in a smaller package.
