Okay this is my specs before I begin. I also know about my motherboard. I will be upgrading soon.

CPU = AMD Phenom II X6 1075t
GPU = Nvidia GTX 560 OC (Asus)
MOBO = Dell 0GK1K2
Memory = 6 Gigabytes DDR3 1333MHz
PSU = 750w

I run the game at 720P but my native resolution is at 1366*768. I also tried all settings and I still have bad fps. A

Your PC should run it at high.
But ALOT of people with high end PCs are having issues with the game.
You just have to wait a couple weeks after release until they've sorted their stuff.

I have the same issue with a GTX 570. I've tried playing with everything on my end but I will have to just be patient for now.

Make sure 1 Frame Lag is Enabled in settings.

I get very good frames, +50, with up to %98 gpu usage.
With it disabled I received around 40 FPS, dipping into the 20's, and low gpu usage, around %60.

I have the same issue and even made a thread about it before I saw this (opps). I can put the game now on even the lowest settings and can only get around 20 FPS with microstutters. Wasn't a problem in previous beta builds to run the game on high (got 60+ FPS). Anyway, hope this gets sorted out soon.

@poster above.. how do I set CPU affinity?

Quick system specs:
Windows 7 64bit
Intel Quad Core Q9300 2.50GHz
GeForce GTX 580 SC (latest drivers)
6 GB Ram
Soundblaster X-Fi Titanium HD
Corsair 750 W powersupply

To set CPU affinity you go to the task manager and right click on the RO2 process, it should be there.

There are things like Virtual Memory, Anti Virus software budding in, Firewall, Fragmented HD, not running things with administrator mode, etc.

On Bulletstorm (the last game released by epic) there was a problem with 16:10 resolutions too, the behavior looks like the same tbh. Try another resolution or even windowed and report back please.

The problem in question: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1774877

Thanks, I'll give that a try. I did defrag my HD about 1 week ago and my AV/Firewall weren't an issue for the past few weeks of the Beta. Just all of a sudden when I tried playing today my FPS level was ~20 with microfreezes compared to yesterday when it was ~60 with settings on high.

Setting affinity might give me a boost, but I still don't see how things changed so drastically or even why it would change at all.

I can't get past 29 fps, on any settings.

Maybe try turning off ''framerate smoothing'', got lots of fps when I turned it off.. was capping my max frames it seemed.
went from 70max to 100max, minimum stayed the same.

Or change the values:
http://www.tweakguides.com/UT3_7.html
These settings control the framerate range between which the game engine attempts to smooth frames. As covered under the bSmoothFrameRate setting above, if that setting is set to True, the framerate limit specified by the value of MaxSmoothedFrameRate will be enforced. Although you can disable this FPS cap, ideally if you want smooth FPS but don't want the default 62FPS cap, one thing you can do is to set the MaxSmoothedFrameRate to a higher value, e.g. 85. It's usually best to set your FPS cap to match your Refresh Rate, since even with VSync disabled, any framerates above your monitor's refresh rate will simply be partial frames anyway. There's no reason why uncapping your FPS will necessarily provide you a better gameplay advantage, and in fact it may do the opposite due to greater FPS variability, so experiment to see if simply using a higher framerate cap is actually a better compromise of smoothness and performance.

Note: When playing online, the engine is capped at 90FPS regardless of these settings, and can't be uncapped.

My max seems to be 100 though, more then 100fps in this (beta) game not possible I think.

Latest patch also did nothing?
(and delete the ROEngine.ini that's in your MyDocuments\RedOrchestra2 folder).

Same thing, bad performances as like as the beta, 20-40 fps with GTX 570, i5 760 4Ghz and 4Gb DDR3 .

Technically you should be getting very good FPS with no bottleneck in your rig. Then again, nVidia has always been underhanded and tried to prevent AMD/ATi's own success by inadvertently having bugs/performance issues with that kind of setup. However, it wouldn't be farfetched to believe that it's just simply the RO2 game failing to adequately use your available resources for the game. Hopefully the next few updates will get you running at least acceptable frames :) Be patient, soldier!
