idea for a zed

mine sweeper(other name suggestions?)
a zed with explosive resistance
will not set off pipe bomb and will set their own mines which can be shot
two ideas to combat this
1have a red beeping light on it
2mine detector and defuse kit
you can shoot it to kill it but it wont be attacking outright in stead trying to lure you into mines

bad idea. Mines are made because the mappers want it. explosive resistance's role has been taken by the scrake

I like the zed that leaves its own mines behind part. That can work. Be a nasty little zed if you leave him running around. Not to much to worry about if he running after you tho. least not from the sound of it

New Zed ideas

New Zed ideas

How about these for zed ideas:

1. The first is the goul (name pending) it resembles a man with bat like features such as elongated webbed fingers and thin boney body. The goul will have the ability to leap up in to the air and lend on unsuspecting prey. The ZEDS are weak similar to clots or stalkers but when they glide through the air they move quite slow and let out a loud screech as they decend.

2. The second idea I had was the reaper (name pending) it would apear to be similar to the clot/gorefest in terms of appearence although there legs would bend inwards like a dog. They would also have two blades grafted onto there arms. The Reapers would move significantly faster than the other ZEDs but would be weaker aswel.

3. the last idea would have another weapon grafted to him like the husk/patriarch since these are meant to be geneticaly engineered weapons they would fit several real weapons on to them i think something heavely armoured shaped like the tanks in L4D would be good but fitted with weapons on its shoulders. They would have the ability to use either a powerful melee attack that knocks you back or its shoulder mounted weapons that could launch mortars at the humans although to give the players a chance, they would take a few seconds to detonate, also they would have a weakpoint on his back (a few well placed shots with the mortar would be enough to take it out)

What comes to the minesweeper idea, Im gonna say the exact same thing I tol Thorgal, the Scrake is already the minesweeper in the game due its huge explosives resistance. No need to add another zed like this.
