Just what the thread name suggests. Let's get a little icon next to a player's name when you hit tab that shows that they have a mic plugged in and such. It'd make things a lot easier for those of us trying to figure out who has a mic on a quiet server. I for one am sick of asking everyone, "Hey, who has a mic? Let's hear some chatter here."

The OS knows the mic is plugged in. The game uses the OS which in turn is using the mic. I'm sure it can be arranged to work like I said. I am unsure of the programming specifics though.

I havent heard of any OS that can say if a mic is plugged in (how would it do that? monitor the mic channel in realtime? great for performance..) besides even if a person has a mic its not sure he/she wants to use it
