Im from Argentina, and the problem I have with RO:O is bullet delay 'cause of joining north american servers. I get like +200 ping and it's too difficult for me to get kills, we don't have any server here.

I just wanted to know if there's going to be lag compensation or some workaround to solve this problem?

Melbourne, Australia.
This is the reason why dedicated servers are so important. Start an Argentinean Ro community and chip in to rent a server, you can all play off that lag free. I'm sure it wouldn't be that expensive.

Tripwire is expecting to get much higher sales with ROHOS, so it's more likely you'll have enough players, and servers in South America.

Of course, there's always Single Player...

While lag compensation may improve ping issues for high-ping players like you, it ruins it for everyone else.

That's not very nice. Though it is true to some degree.

Well, as long as you don't live on the southern part of the country (which is just about as far south as you can be on land, lower than Australia even), you can probably get acceptable (150) pings on a Texas server.

Lag compensation would still be nice to have as a server option though.

At RO:Ladder we would never use it for European matches or American matches, but for intercontinental matches of European vs American players it could actually be kind of nice.

The more I go through several topics, suggestions and ideas on the forum, the more I conclude that all we need is lots of OPTIONS to allign servers with the target group they wish to focus on (arcade-lovers, realism-'die hards',...) :D

I agree here with Zets..Having some kind of ping compensator to allow intercontinental matches would be a massive boon to the overall community and would allow both European and American Clans to play on a level playing field to a degree.
I hope its one of those unseen things that TWI have or are going to consider and maybe have already implemented?

Over to you Ramm...lol

I've been playing with 200+ ping in RO for 4 years... believe me, you'll get used to it :p
