Probably you're right, it's weird how he his suit appears to be totally different instead of being wartorn...
Quite a disadvantage on a snowy map.
And I think he will get teamkilled more because of the colour.
Also the fur cap with the flaps fixed on top makes a nice target in comparison to the dead at his feet.
The padded structure of the clothes looks good.

Yea... so as you level up you get too good for trench coats? I thought veterans/heroes were gonna look cool... not ill-prepared.
Looks really odd to me. Now, if he had a dusty trench coat on top of that, it would probably look more fitting.
EDIT: After looking at it some more, I think maybe a little too much dirt (or not enough stages for progression since this is the first I've seen it). I can understand soldiers looking like this after fighting for a while, but as a feature that is most likely going to be a rare occurrence, these guys are going to stand out like sore thumbs. The whole team is going to be clean cut and there is going to be one guy running around that looks like a chimney sweep...it's going to look out of place.

Yeah, he looks freaky. I dunno if this is some weird glitch or just an odd choice from Tripwire. I wasn't expecting a green padsuit though. I almost did TK him because I thought he was a damn Fritz.
Heh, just think though. He's at such a disadvantage now because of this ranking glitch. He's not going to blend into anything, and he's gonna get TK'd because of people who see the darker colors as a threat.
Yeah I have every single weapon maxed out except for the class that I play (Machinegunner). It's pretty damn annoying.
Also if you all will notice, there's a rank icon with an exclamation mark under it, down near my suppression meter. So the "morale from heroes" thing is in effect too.
