Human waves, as seen in "Enemy at the Gates" indeed happened occasionally which Red Army correctly described as well as the cause of such rare events.
However, unlike the Germans, Soviet doctrine was to use the infantry for the direct assault ( break-though force ) Supported by tanks, so yes as you can read from German accounts, almost all major attacks consisted of a Human mass/wall/wave whatever you like to call it. That was Soviet strategy, and it has it's advantages as described in the linked thread Red Army has in his post. There's no denying that from a statistic point of view, these tactics costs the Soviets far more casualties then the Germans, however it also has to be said that Soviet forces were also a lot larger, so more casualties were to be expected. Stalin's famous words 'Not one step backwards' also caused a lot more casualties but it got the job done. See order 227.
War winning weapons? IL-2 Sturmovik* is definitely one of the major causes along with mass soviet artillery combined by a lot of infantry and a lot of Tanks.
*The Flying Tank is one of many nicknames, rear-gunners called it the Black Coffin, mainly because there was no getting out because of the low-level flight doctrine. The IL-2 had one major design flaw which wasn't fixed until newer series arrived which briefly flew over Berlin '45, it's extended oil cooler beneath the aircraft. 1 hit to the oil cooler and the whole plane was done for, this was instructed to all Luftwaffe pilots and once they knew the trick the IL2 went down like most other aircraft ( Battle for Kurks counted 1,626 shot down Russian aircraft, with the far majority being IL2's). The real reason for it's success is the availability of the aircraft and the bomb load it could carry and the purpose as direct ground attack aircraft made it excellent, and just what the VVS needed.

One of my posts should be approved by moderators...Exactly. When i went to poland last summer, i had the best time of my life. Many youth who hated the guts out of the soviets but some even ADMIRING the nazi's

The point is..Soviets nazis, they all killed people. But what the nazi's did was still much and much worse. If you look at the scale what the nazis killed in 6 years and what the soviets did in there history...Its peanuts what the soviets did
BUT i do not support neither faction. What i DO support are the brave soldiers of the Red army, many who knew that they where gonna die. The stubborn yet pride Polish soldiers who gave the germans a hell of a fight, wherever they could organize themselfs. The British and canadians, who liberated my country for the second time...i can continue with this but i have one more thing to add. The common wehrmacht soldier. Who did not gave a frak about hitler but about his country, his home, his family. The only diffrence between the wehrmacht soldier and the common russian, british, allied soldier...was that the wehrmacht soldier had a crazy Racist Austrian in charge and a whole flock of evil bastards who started a war wich killed tens of millions

I've also heard some stories from people and my uncle who has been a History teacher for most of his life about the former DDR, East-Germany, who described the exact same thing, after the Wall fell they didn't really know if they liked it all that much, sure they had to keep their mouth shut and cooperate with the system, but on top of the things you described they also were of opinion that the education was a whole lot better.

On Topic: I prefer to play as Ivan myself just because it annoys me how the teams are always tipped in favor of the Germans. It's like "Look at me I'm a nazi! Herp! I'm cool and stuff! Derp!" We tend to lose more because people don't like to play as a team but it's a lot more fun than being a part of the overpowered derp club.

Actually, if you want to talk about the world's biggest loss of life, it was the Stalinist regime (which wasn't truly communist) that killed the most people of any nation. Unfortunately for the people he subjugated, that meant approximately 20 million deaths. That's more than all the combat deaths in WWII, combined.

Yes Homuth i went overboard with the IL-2, of course it has its disadvantages. Overall though, imo, it was better than the Stuka. The stuka was downed easily, and the fact that it also had to execute low dives in order to make its 1 bomb hit made it even more vulnerable at the low altitudes it had to dive to. The IL-2 was more capable in ground attack, as all ground attack planes are vulnerable since they need to dive, except IL-2 was nearly impervious to all ground AA fire besides 88 (which, like i said, fired too slow to be effective vs aircraft).
For the human waves part, i agree with you. The Soviet tactic was to breakthrough defense with infantry (supported by tanks) but not exactly throw all their tanks at the enemy like the Germans do in Blitzkrieg, as Soviet doctrine emphasized exploiting the breakthrough with tanks, and using all tanks in initial breakthrough assault would exhaust the tanks so that they cant be deployed in enemy rear for exploitation purposes anymore. So, infantry did take alot of casualties. BUT SOVIET TACTICS ARE IN NO WAY JUST THROWING MILLIONS OF MEN AT THE ENEMY. I've seen TOO MANY people suggest this, ingame, out of game, etc. it really is annoying and stupid. Human wave would just be mindlessly throwing people at MGs, but Soviets didnt do that. They always carefully prepared for their assaults, used reconnaissance, spies, picked weak spots, had HUGE preparatory bombardments by artillery and aircraft before EVERY assault, unless when the Luftwaffe has air superiority like in the begining of the war. That is definitely not human wave. Plus the assaults are always supported by SPG's & tanks. im just tired of idiot fanboys who trash the soviets. like yesterday i had a game in which someguy was talking about how Russia only won because it had 9999999999 men (he literally typed that number...)

I guess I should have said the National Socialist flag, and during the 40's the germans were mostly part of the Nazi party.
There is no doubt in my mind that the Nazi party had to go, and the Soviets too.

Use of the Totenkopf dates back to the Seven Years War.
And there was only one division of the SS that used it. The 3rd.
Which ironically had one of the cleanest records of an SS unit (warcrimes) and was one of the hardest fighting units in the war.
