I prefer to play as the guys in the yellowish uniforms because I feel they are under-classed by they guys in the greenish-grey uniforms! I feel the greenish grey uniform guys weapons are much more powerful and accurate than the guys in the yellowish uniforms!

It just feels better to play on the team with the yellowish uniforms because I get a sense of accompishment that I don't get with the other team.

Does anyone else feel this way?

After playing so much Darkest Hour and other games and having to be either Axis or American It's a good change, I've always loved the russians and now it's the time :) I only play as them, and love it.. love fighting the germans :D

Kind of agree. Even if the Nazi word isn't used, it's not like the past can just be erased. The commies were fighting the nazis, aka National Socialists. Not saying that all German soldiers were nazi, but they all had to wear swastikas on their uniform. I bet not all soviet soldiers were commies either.

If the word is used in a pro-nazi racial context, or something similar (offensive) I understand, but there's no reason for it to become the N word.

EDIT: Oh! Almost forgot to answear topic. I agree with OP in having a hard time playing Axis, but for other reasons. It's simply a bit too easy, while on the soviet side you really have to push up your skills.

It's a word. A collection of letters arranged into order to signify a certain meaning. It can't be "bad".

What's the point of trying to tip-toe around it? I'm not being insulting when I refer to Hitler and Goering as members of the Nazi party, that's just a fact. It's not a derogative term, it's not meant to inflict some sort of pshycological injury on anyone, it's just a descriptive term.

And for the record, I suppose we can't talk about Communists or Mongols, Huns, Americans (or capitalists, if you prefer), the British Empire or the Romans either then? Considering the fact they were all responsible for quite abit of violence and suffering.

I play allies more often now, because it's a good chance to get some very good classes without having to load first. Usually when i join people are so desperate to join axis that there are hardly allies.

Since apparently me saying the German Nz word got my thread deleted, even though I changed it to AXIS and apologized :p

Yes I also enjoying playing the allies since I mostly played the axis in RO the mod and RO retail but I still luv going German mger.

Threads like this make people like the OP sound like a "hipster" nothing more.

Why prefer one team over the other? For political reasons? For kit reasons? For no reason other than to piss on the choices other people make?

All of those reasons still mean the same thing. You're not a team-player and I certainly don't want someone like that on my team whatever team that may be (I switch to whichever team needs help).

I'm a machine gunner. And the DP-28 is the biggest piece of **** on the planet, so there's not much choice for me. If I do play ruskies I stick to the nagant.
