And that being so, I was wondering if there is any hard copy literature that will release with the game? I know a strategy guide of sorts may be asking much, as I don't want something to tell me how to play, but something that can teach me, if that makes any sense. Plus something that gives effective weapon ranges and facts (the germans carry they're weapons with one hand while the russians carry with both, a fact and visual in game that few notice), etc. So is there something that will release that I can carry to work to pass the time???

I'm trying really hard not to say "I like to flip through pages while I use the bathroom." I hope I don't have to. ;)

Great post Andropov- your honesty had me cracking up.

And Cpt-Praxius, he'd be reading at work so I don't think carrying a laptop into the toilet would be the best option! "There goes Lev, looks like he's settling in for a big one today."

But still, you speak the truth :D A Droid 2 is my universal toilet reader.

As far as the topic goes- learning real world military tactics might open your mind a bit and help you play less on reactions and more methodically. Sorry I can't offer you any book titles, just my opinion: One way RO is great is at least in TE mode- it's a tactics sandbox. Simply playing and dying while trying new approaches or play styles will shape you into a better player. Also trying each class and using it every which way, you learn what role you can fill best. GL to ya!
