I just pre-ordered HOS??

As long as the game is in their system, I'm almost positive you can pre-order it.

The question however will the shop change their minds last minute and turn people down i hate that puts me off and i end up cancel my pre order !

Anyway i guess your right they cant exactly false advertise a product without giving an exact date of release.


Surprised anyone from Trip has not been here IMO.

The only way i can see this is true of Tripwire close this thread and act if it never happened ...............

Why should Tripwire step in and tell them (or any shop for that matter) that there is no set release date.

Shops will sell every bull**** they can even if it is not a product which isn't available yet (anyone remember Duke Nukem Forever preorders?) and they can do it because people will buy it (preorders are retarded, like they would run out of copies ...)

But if you live in a civilized country your right as a customer should be that the price you preorder for will not change.

When blizzard announced Diablo 2 someone posted the release date and the thread was closed ASAP 1 year later the game released 3 days before the date he posted and now that member is perma banned .

What im trying to say here is simply the devs will close anything that even represents a release date close to the actual date of release....

No it doesn't make sense because nobody can control the internet.

In almost every news post about RO2 on external websites they state august 2011 as a release date. The rumor is spreading but it is still wrong until it says so on steam and Ramm or Wilsonam approve it.

Also what happened at the Blizzard forum can't be a legitimate reaction, I am once again glad not to be at their forums.

One basic rule concerning consumerism and the law....

"One can't sell what isn't his'n". In otherwords, without some sort of agreement with the publisher (1C?). I find it hard to believe that any store can sell a pre-order.

If there is no agreement/contract and it goes unchallenged, then I'll sell you a pre-order of RO:HOS, too. Send me what you think the game is worth and consider it pre-ordered through me. If it costs more upon release, you can send me the balance and I'll send you a copy of the game........

How many times have games shops taken pre orders only to push dates back, I've lost count

It's not a problem taking pre orders as long as it's in good faith only becomes a problem when you take orders for something that you know doesn't exist.

I doubt very much that'll it be out july if we're still on F & F beta

With taxes it's 45.19 CAD, and I had the option of putting 5 or 10 bucks instead of full price.

I've never seen it in Amazon.

But is true that release date doesn't matter, I have pre-ordered Diablo 3 from Amazon more than a year ago, and still no release date.

Thats how i do it and thats how civilized shops(not consoleshops like gamestop) behave, take money for a preorder pff.
Pretty much all online and offline stores that i know of in sweden offers free pre-ordering , you'll be billed when the game is shipped either by a bill or they remove a certain amount from your credit card if you've chosen to pay with that option.

Australia is also not exactly the fastest shipping experts for game and lets not forget thier entire country or island whatever is against video games lol they ban anything that has blood .

Anyway this is BS guys not what the op says but what that retail store does to people pre order and it could be like 2 years off still.
