I have a weird question to ask..

So we've seen Stuarts and Ha-Gos and that's all well and good. My question is, other than the Ha-Go (it was insinuated there wouldn't be tank on tank battles), what weapons will the Japanese get to combat American tanks? I know they have a Type 97 20mm AT rifle, but at 150 lbs that isn't something a soldier can run around with on their own. Thanks! :)

Problem is, says in the wiki that two of those together can penetrate a grand total of 32 mms, not enough to get through a Stewart, much less a Sherman.

According to this two of those should be able to penetrate everywhere on the hull besides the front. Only 13mm of armor on the top of the tank which mean one will be enough to penetrate if you get it up there.

You really shouldn't be using front armour thickness to determine the effectiveness of a mine. As we all know mines are usually used from below, where the armour is generally thinner. Magnetic mines being an exception, but still, you would never stick one on the front of a tank.

One of these mines could penetrate the turret roof or engine cover armour of a Sherman.

I would imagine the engine cover was a common target. certainly it was for things like Molotovs - altho for a slightly different reason.

Wow I must have been groggy when I made my post. You and the people after you are right, who sticks mines on the front?
