I agree, has to be fixed. It just doesn't belong in a Tripwire game.

The whole debate is ridiculous, but only because of the people who insist that the terms "clip" and "magazine" can be used interchangeably and refer to the same thing.

From left to right in the above picture; it's a clip, another clip and a magazine. Both rows.

Who is insisting that the two words are interchangeable?

I wouldn't say that, I would say most/many people simply couldn't care less which word is used because, in the context of the game, they know what people are referring to :)

Anyway I'm happy to agree to differ ;)

This bugs me to. I'd expect as much from most games, but not from the people who made Red Orchestra.

Please fix this, Tripwire.

That's what I said. Most people either think that both terms can be used to describe the same thing, or simply don't care.

The fact is that these people are wrong. There is a fundamental difference between a clip and a magazine.

Maybe British squadies are less pedantic than the average gun-nerd.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but judging the gameplay movies, it seems the in-game voices use the right terminology. But on-screen text refers to magazines as "clips".

also stumbled across this, and it was not the thing that it was the wrong term used, but that it came from TWI that freaks me out a bit

Well if you fix that, could you fix the rest of the errors? :D

-Hunting shotgun is loading spent shells (check the primer, they're both dimpled, meaning they've been fired already).
-Both Handcannons and 9mm Pistols are peculiarilly DAO (Double Action Only), meaning that the hammers on the pistols decock after every time the slide cycles when firing. The Desert Eagle and the M9A1 both are Double Action (meaning that they can be fired from the full 'hammer down' position), but the hammers recock after every shot. The in game model shows it, but the HUD view does not. It's a glaring flaw that's still present in 90% of the video games out there.
-And the SA80 works. (those who know the sordid history of that ugly gun get it) :p

Just nitpicking :D

Cheers.
