Given that the ranking system is totally f'd up its not a big surprise. I have hero assault and commander class though i assure you I would not be even close if it wasnt for the stats/leveling bugs. Not my fault and I would welcome a stat reset at any time.
Me too, I was going to post a thread about it, but then I saw a guy with honour level four being promoted hero commander. So it's nothing special I guess. He didn't throw smoke or arty or call in recon a single time. It wasn't you was it?
It seems you get the extra "Hero weapon" as a veteran unlock, so the only advantage to being a hero is the suppression effect I guess.

I got it for the assault role. Indeed when i play infantry i am
