Ridiculous??

Ridiculous??

With the discount of Firebug the cost of the Husk Gun for me is 1900.

In Level 4 in Hard and sometimes in Suicidal, i can survive and even defeat the Patriarch (only with the Husk Gun).

The high cost of Husk Gun you think is ridiculous???, i do not believe that you are a beginner and you believe that the weapon is like any other, it is the weapon most advanced and more difficult to use in the game.

You must know how to use very well the charge attack and the radio of the explosion, sometimes firing at the ground in the center of many specimens, calculate exactly how many seconds + hundredths of a second an charge attack is needed to annihilate any specimen.

This weapon is not based on a single shot, is a complex charge shot, learns to use it and you'll realize because the high cost.

I understand that you have been murdered by the specimens at the time of purchase this weapon, but someone from your range should already know how to use very well the Husk Gun and UNDERSTAND because this weapon is so expensive.

Not for FB

Not for FB

"If you're not a Firebug, why you want a Husk Gun???"

The Husk gun doesn't get hardly any bonus damage from being firebug. Only in the moments that the zed is on fire after the initial blast. So being an FB doesn't necessarily give you large advantage, except with the initial cost.
I use the HuskC as a support, because it can stun scrakes: then you can finish them with aa12. The xbow is nice for stunning sc, but you have to reload it immediately after firing.

i feel all the high tier weapons introduced by tripwire during the twisted christmas update are overpriced and underpowered, except for the combat shotty which is just overpriced ammowise.

Instead of a cost reduction of the Husk Cannon, how about a weight reduction? A weight of 4 would justify the cost. Flamer+Hush Cannon= Decently powered Firebug (for Suicidal And HOE). Even carrying them both would hardly make a Firebug overpowered.

I definitely agree with this. You don't know how badly I'd ****ing love to have a flamethrower and Husk cannon instead of the Flame and Mac 10.

While this would be a viable option, I just don't like it on the grouds that I think the husk cannon should be powerful. To me it'd be a bit like if the 9mm were more powerful and more expensive than the EBR.

No worries about being a competent firebug, you're already level 6 necromancer.

But yeah, I can see the stun/boom boom boom of the HC/AA12 working out. I'll have to try that out later today and see if it can give my Stella her groove back.

whats the point of carrying a husk gun as support when you can just katana/axe/machete flinch them and carry two shotguns instead of one? the only time i use the husk gun is as sharpshooter for the lulz

The price really isnt that high when you think about what its capable of. Although, filling the ammo is expensive compared to the flamethrower and one of the benefits of a firebug is the extra money after each wave. I think the best way to compensate for the price would be to get rid of ammo completely and instead give it a charge like medic guns, syringes and welders. I know that I've seen this in a mutator and it seemed like a good idea. But, as is, the husk gun just doesnt compare to the flamethrower.

I agree with OP. Husk Cannon needs some stuff. 20% more ammo and 30% less cost would do it IMO. That with fixing the Magnum weight bug. This will allow the Pyro to carry:

Husk Cannon
Mac10
Magnum

Very nice loadout :)
