Judging from the picture, it is much to open. The ZEDs need to go up the stairs and will be moved down by commandos and sharpshooters.

Secondly, I think you may have to many pathnodes, but it is hard to judge without having looked at the map in KFED.

Thirdly, I prefer maps that looks as if they come from the real world. I need to have an idea of why a construction is there. I dont think your layout can be explained.

Fourthly, threads like this belong in the beta map thread.

This is definitly not to discourage you, but a map needs a lot of work before it is ready to publish here. Take some time with pen and paper to get a basic layout. Think of how to make challenges so everyone needs to be on their toes. Wonder where you want the players to set up defences, and make sure there are several places to do so. A good rule of thumb is that a place is too easy to hold unless it can be attacked from three sides, at least one of which is unweldable. Maps does not have to be large, but they need lots of small interconnected rooms to be really effective.

Keep up the work, spend some time on a layout and come back again ;)

You have way too many Pathnodes, and it looks pretty easy. However, if you were to convert it into an endless map, with fast spawning zeds, it would be pretty fun to hold off that place.

Reduce the amount of lights aswell and use a single Sunlight actor.

Ya I just created this map for fun and don't really expect it to become whitelisted, though that would be cool except i would have to get rid of the secret room. Then for the path nodes I just kind of placed them everywhere cause I wasn't completely sure how they worked, but thanks for the tips. Also I didn't even know you could make the zeds spawn faster or make a sunlight actor, I'll have to figure out how to do that.

There are too many pathnodes in the map. It isn't important to have a ton of pathnodes as it is to have them link correctly. Check the pathnodes connection by right clicking on the border of the 3D viewer. White connections are the best to have, although in smaller corridors it will probably show up as blue, which is fine as long as the zeds don't get stuck on anything. Adding a KFLevelRules to the map and changing the wave spawn period to .01 will dramatically increase the difficulty. Difficulty also depends on the zombiezonevolumes; how many you have, how close they are to the players, etc. Also try breaking up the open environment with objects that can block a players long distance sight to the zeds. As far as lighting, you don't have to use a sunlight actor, although it is good if you want to quickly light an entire area. How you light a map depends on how you want to do it. When you do build the map however, go to build options and make sure the lighting build is set to RGB. DXT1 and DXT3 will blend the lighting horribly.

Sweet, finally people are using it.

You have to have the System File in the server folder (system) as well.

EDIT: if this helps, neither of us own a server, he was just trying to host it but after downloading the map when i added the chaingun, it wasn't in his map list.

if you dont host a server then its not going to be in the server folder.

Make sure EVERYONE has the chain gun file in their Killingfloor>System
