So I have NEVER had a personal server of any sort. I set up a gameserver account for a Killing Floor server tonight and it is running fine, I can edit the .ini and use webadmin with no issues. My only question is if there is a way I can set it up so when I go to join my server I can force my way in even if there are no slots (ie auto kick an active player and let me in). I am a TF2 admin for another community and I know this is set up for us there, but our server heads know nothing about how the stuff works for the UT style setup.

Put a password on it and then you can join np. Then just invite people and give them the password!

Or what you can do is what I do. I set the max spectators to 10. You should pretty much always be able to get on then, since most people do not realize you can join as a spectator. Just highlight your server from the browser, right click, and the click 'join as spectator'. Once on you can either wait for a slot to open, use rcon to kick someone, or just use your webadmin ahead of logging no to boot someone.

Hi,

First off I have experience running CS and CS:S servers heavily modded. I've found this thread and followed its instructions. I've downloaded and copied over the files to my server (running on windows) and added the line in the killingfloor.ini file. After restart I do see parts of the mod running like the rss, team balancer (serverext) but can't find the reserve slot management.

I saw that there's a slotmanager.htm that goes in /web/serveradmin/ , but when I try to access it manually I get a page not found. A quick walk through on how to get the mod running with only the reserved slots part would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hahahah.

I tried loading UAdminMod as a mutator but had some problems, this is the reserved slots addon you're looking for. It's billed as have the same functionality as you're used to with mani/sm etc.

I was looking to load this for ping limits. It also handles reserved slots, I do belive it has a lovely cfg file that loves to be edited going by the general trend of ut2004 mutators.

Ok all working now, I missed a second "AccessControlClass" line which came after the line I put in so it wasn't loading properly.
