I think it will cost 40 euros for Europeans and 50 US Dollar for Americans because looking at how Killing Floor was priced it was very fair and reasonable.

But probably it will be worth 50 euros :eek:

I think I paid 30 euros for RO when I bought it first (Summer 2006) which was an awesome price, this time they deserve a bit more money :p

But you should be able to scratch that kind of money together until the game is out and maybe there will be preorder discounts on steam?

Probably depends on how 'deep' the Singleplayer campaign is(as in real SP or just pseudo).... but in order to be taken seriously it should be at least 40

I'd imagine $50, like your average PC game.

$20? Really? :rolleyes: Aside from either really bad games, I've never seen one retail at $20 at start.

I think Ost started at $30, but that was because it was an improvement over a free mod.

Considering HoS is 100% new and most likely costs more to develop, I'd imagine they would have to ask for a more realistic price.

Don't expect it to be $20. I'd assume it'll be $44.99/49.99/same for Euros...

That's normal and fair.

In fact I hope it isn't cheaper than the norm, because anything less than $30 definitely screams "budget".

Knowing steam it will be the same for $ and Euro's which is not really fair, but since it will probably only be available on steam over here there's not much we can do about it, I know for sure I am very selective when it comes to buying from steam, 99% of the time there is a better alternative instead of being ripped of by steam :(

I used to purchase quit a lot through steam because it was really a good system but they killed that when they changed the pricing policy for EURO country's

Switchblade get out of your closed. Tripwire makes the prices for their games and Killing Floor costs 20$ and for Europeans 18€. Still not as cheap as with the old system but at least TWI won't make you bend over. I am sure it will be similar with HoS

I thought I remember that when KF was first out the differences between UK/Euro/US regions were less than one dollar when converted?

EDIT: found it http://forums.tripwireinteractive.com/showpost.php?p=429749&postcount=4

11.24 Pounds with 25% off (including VAT)
13.49 Euro with 25% off (including VAT)
15 Dollar with 25% off (excluding VAT)

At the current course its pretty much equal

15 dollar -> euro + 19% vat = 13,45 euro
15 dollar -> pound + 15% vat = 11.682 pound

I can even pay 159 PLN Złoty for HoS when average price for new game in my country is 99PLN and thats a lot. Commercial titles like Mw2 or BC2 cost there 129PLN.

159PLN ~ 38 euro ~ 53 dollars
99PLN ~ 23 euro ~ 33 dollars

100 PLN is 1/20 of average monthly earnings in my country

Nope, from Poland. Yea it is situated in Central Europe. I ofcourse can't blame Europe for that but my goverment and currency rules.

FYI I work in the office as main administrator and my monthly fee is around 500 euro. Minus taxes, monthly fees and food its left less than 100 euro.

Poland is a tier 2 european country on steam, (Tier 1 are pretty much western european countries, tier 2 are mostly eastern european countries).

Generally tier 2 prices are often nearly half that of the tier 1 prices atleast for valve and tripwire games. So atleast countries with a lower average domestic income will have more ease getting the game legally.
