How much do you like Bot-Server

I think some people are starting to get it.

Mentally put yourself into two scenarios; one at a time.

1. You are a player, and you want to play in a populated server.

2. You are a server operator, and you want to fill your server, lest you lose money to no purpose.

Really. Spend some time thinking about it. It can be quite a paradox.

And human psychology ain't boring, is it?

I join the same classic server all the time, because I like the Server settings there, is a Classic/Custom server.

- Classic Speed
- Classic Weapon + Handling
- good ping
- Compass in Tactical view
- no auto rotate of the Tank turret when leaving the gunner position
- delayed Kill message

Well the problem is there are 10 times as many bots in this game as there are players. There are way to many servers for the amount of people that play this game so what do you expect. "Your clans 5 servers" aren't going to fill up with players. Especially towards the end of the day there are like "400" people playing the game, it actually looks more like "200". That will fill up maybe 4 servers. There are over 100+ servers available. If all the people that the game says are on were in different servers, there would be 4 players per server. So my thing is there are far to many servers which equals far to many bots.

I don't like bots. I'd rather have small skirmishes with few players until the server fills up.

Bots are indispensable. I have learned to love them. Though I wish the AI was better.

On our |LMC|Te Realism (LMCgaming.com), we have the server start out with 42 bots.

They disappear after 20 players join.

2 bots disappear for every 1 human player that joins.

I wouldn't mind if these same people were perpared to sit on an empty server for hours waiting till others join, but they dont they want it all no bots and players

I think server admins have no choice but to add some bots least while you wait for the server to fill you can at least play - anyone who's played 1 on 1 or 2 v 2 for long will sooon get feed up and the maps arent made for this either

your statement might hold true for some players. ones with no patience (like kids), but i join servers with only a couple people all the time. sit and wait for more. but to ask me to sit for hours waiting? get real! i'll go find another server with just a few players.
it's why i usually hit the RGN custom server. custom maps, no bots and a mix of settings that work well. there's enough people that frequent it, that i don't usually have to wait too long for some regulars to show up.

Agree for maximum 10 bots to start fill the server, then one bot leaving for each human entrance.
Make it nearly 40 slots maximum because 64 slots is too large for most of the maps.
Make it play a mix of stock and custom maps.
Make it classic or custom with most of the interesting parameters of classic mode.
Make it european and stable...
and THIS server will be my #1 in my favorites.

Communicate it to make it popular.

I don't join a server with bots enabled, they destroy the whole game play experience. Its boring and not satisfying to shoot some dump bots. Botservers shouldn't give you points, botfarming has to stop.
Just one bot enabled makes the server for me unplayable. I rather play 2 vs 2 or 5 vs 5 than with some bots.

Bots do not belong in this game.

1. They are stupid as hell. Playing against them makes no fun.

2. Becuase of this Bots are just used to grind XP.

3. I bought a multiplayer game, so I want to play with real people against other people.

4. I avoid servers with bots if possible.

I spent my first 250 hours or so on Red Orhcestra 2 playing in player only servers. Nowadays I spend 80% of my time in bot servers. I still dabble playing against human players on full player servers, but more often than not people wind up camping and little in the way of player tactics and I don't find that enjoyable at all.

I've actually encountered more in the way of tactics and teamplay with a 2 or 3 man team in a server full of bots. People seem more willing to listen and contribute.

Bots aren't really challenging but I wouldn't say they're useless. They allow you to hone certain skills and i'm not just talking about levelling etc

Heh ok so after typing my last comment I spent an hour or so playing some games ona 64 player server. It is a lot more exciting and I was still able to come in the top 5 of players. So I wouldn't discredit all my time spent on bot servers as a waste

A few bots (10-16) are ok to fill the server with real player. But the bots have to leave when a human player join the server. Because a lot of people here don
