Later the ammo was jacked up to $5,000 to fill it up and the weapon's power was substantially dwarfed. It has become an undesirable weapon, rarely bought and rarely used. How do you ever expect to get the cash for that weapon on Suicidal or HOE?

Selling Crossbows, you can easily have enough money to buy an M99 and full ammo by the time Scrakes start showing up. After that you just need a teammate that will toss you their extra money each wave. As long as you're hitting all of your headshots or are playing with a friend (ideally both) it shouldn't be too hard to get the money.

the crossbow does sell pretty high, which is nice but i try to save my crossbow until the end of wave 4 and just buy armor and ammo for the pistol, its a great way to save up for the m99 and full ammo. well as long as your team has your back, and every shot you make is headshots so you dont burn through ammo.

I think he's referring to selling the xbow at the end of each wave then suiciding to respawn with another.

i know i was just stating another way of doing it to. their are many ways to get the gun and the ammo its just a matter of finding and doing them

When the M99 first came out it was nice to have a weapon that would take down an FP at a reasonable price. I liked it as it was upon first release.

Whenever someone mentions filling the M99 up I always know they haven't played the game for very long.

the whole filling up the, m99 is a royal pain. sometimes i find it better just to get the gun, and fill it with just enough bullets for the patty round.
