A simple question on the face of it, though some may not even be aware of the distinction.

An obvious example is bunny-hopping. Suppose a game incorporates that flaw and allows a player to endlessy jump, in a crouch even...are you the type of player who will exploit that flaw, refuse to use it even in the face of others who do or use it only to counter other exploiters?

Dolphining is another.

Zig-zag bayo charges at close-quarters, exploiting the total lack of inertia and momentum in avatar movement, most noticeable when sprinting.

Use of macros to make the above even worse an exploit.

And etc.

Where is the option

No I don't use exploits, but I do play the game in the most efficient way possible. Regardless of those methods being realistic or not

That's using exploits but with a transparent attempt to legitimise them. :)

This is kind of a pointless question when all or none of those things can actually be done in RO2. You can't bunnyhop, the players have inertia and momentum, etc.

With respect, no they don't, and anyone who has watched players zig-zagging across open ground can see that is 100% true and accurate.

They got Inertia, less then in Ostfront though but its there. If you'd play games like Front Mission Evolved you'd notice the difference :D.

If you quote me, do it right.

I said or asked if you needed some cheese with that whine... which is the same whine you posted yesterday.

I was going to comment on bunnyhopping, on macro's etc.
So I posted a bunnyhopping, macro using racoon, with a dangerous melee weapon (bayonette use prohibited indoors...)

Well considering I coded the momentum and inertia system I'll have to emphatically disagree :) Yes you can zig zag, but you can't do it instantly, the physics take into account your momentum in whatever direction you were moving and you have to counteract that momentum when changing direction. As a matter of fact, I remember WAY back in the RO mod days when I added the momentum system and a lot players complained about it because they wanted to be able to change directly instantly just like Quake or UT. And RO2 still uses a similar system.

Ok, they have the inertia of a cardboard cutout. Personally I feel it's valid to call that zero inertia. An avatar can change direction 90 degrees at full speed without a sign of what that would do to a real human (he'd go over on his butt).

I feel its not valid to call it zero. and you don't go to your butt if you change your direction in RL if your prepared for it.

I'll sort you out a FRAPS clip soon as I can get somebody onto my server to do a zig-zag for me and post it here.

Unless...the use of a macro somehow overcomes inertia/momentum? I'll accept that's entirely possible. But lets see what other players say, because the lack of inertia and momentum has been commented upon on these forums by numerous players. It IS possible to instantly change direction at sprinting speed with no discernable degradation with just the mouse. Personally I haven't tried it with the strafe keys.
