I need to remove the ripple FX of a player walking through water or at least reduce it's size. I am referring not to the up/down bounce of the water but rather the circular textures that appear around the player.

Remove collision player collision entirely? If you still want shots to create splashes I think you just need to keep zero extents and colliding actors.
I've never tried removing collision from fluidsurfaceactors but I'd imagine removing collision would fix it.
the water ring emitter is built into the kfpawn/fluidsurfaceinfo.
you would need to mod code to get rid of it.
i ran into this problem back in the day when i was using fluidsurface for reactive groundfog.
testripple is just to see fluidsurface changes in editor.
