How do I add more maps on my server?Pappy

This program will allow you to add more maps to your server. If your server has automatic Redirect, then all you have to do is upload the maps to the KF>Maps Folder

If you dont have automatic redirect,

Google: Killing Floor Map Compressor

With this program you will be able to compress your maps so you can add to the redirect (using WinSCP)

How to install a custom map to your dedicated server;

Step 1 - download the map you'd like to the desktop of your servers location

step 2 - drag the map into your KF maps folder \maps ( you'll see all the default maps already in there such as westlondon etc )

step 3 - Open your killing floor .ini and find these sections

[DefaultKF MaplistRecord]
[KFMod.KFMaplistSP]
[KFMod.KFMaplist]

step 4 - Add the name of your map to each of these sections, copy the layout of the other maps. Some start with DefaultMaps = some with just Maps= ( copy and past the name of your maps for no chance of error, rename map don't edit it just copy the name )

step 5 - ( redirect step optional ) Find this section in your .ini

ProxyServerPort=XXXX
UseCompression=True

in green is the directory to my redirect which i've added, put the directory to yours in if you want fast DL for others on your server

step 6 - Compress your map for redirect fastest possible DL, so if you're using redirect you'll want to make a .bat file in \system directory name it Compress.bat and here's what you need it to run.

ucc compress ..\maps\[COLOR=Lime]KF-InnerFortressNS1.rom[/COLOR]

right click edit on your compress file, add your map name then run the .bat and it will send a compressed copy of your map into your maps folder along with your fully sized copy. .uz2 is the compressed format

step 7 - when it's compressed go into your maps folder and find the compressed uz2 file, open your FTP program and upload the uz2 to your redirect directory.

YOUR DONE , start your server and it will appear in your vote menu / web admin the works. Hope this helps everyone who reads.

Note : You can perform these steps while the server is running, you just need to map change so that they then show on the web admin then just add them to rotation for the next map change and they'll be perm added to your .ini without having to add them yourself.
