Not really the Western allies simply had more radios, a typical late-war German battalion consisted of 4-5 Tornister radios while the western Allies ( the US) were outfitted with many short ranged SCR-536's (this really gave them the edge despite their lack of range: net) and 5 SCR-300's.

Also it is important to remember while on DH the Allies are all decked out with their shiny brand new SCR-300 sets other older sets such as the SCR-284 were still being used in large numbers (the SCR-284 like Torn Fu.b1 needed to be set up before being used).

What about the German "Dorette" radios?

Also IIRC weren't the German radios capable of better sound reproduction as-well?
