Theres a headshot, for example Gorefast keeps it going without a head a while.

I would like to see precise armshot, that if you shoot specimens arm, its rip off. And its keeps going doing damage with one arm.

Or precise legshot makes specimen crawl.

These might be introduced earlier, but no search match for legshot or armshot.

And for example FP, head might be stronger 2-3 xbow headshot needed, but you can remove arm from FP single precise armshot. If one arm removed, FP does half damage, if both, FP make damage with his head banging. SS would be satisfying to play, no need to single headshot kill.

And of course with melee weapon, you can do same thing. Example Fire Axe secondary attack, if it hit arm, arm rips off if not killing.

Maybe at least in KF2?

Wouldn't it be more practical to just headshot the FP twice instead of removing both of his arms and still having him come after you?

Yes its more practical. But removable arms and legs imo suits to KF perfectly. Horror game, horror features.

If it isn't as practical, then why bother implement a system that no Sharpshooter would bother to take advantage of? Sure it'd be cool, but there's better things for the developers to be working on than adding a system of limb removal that would rarely come into play.

I could also see it throwing-off balance a little, like a Support Specialist using his shotgun to blow-off a Scrake's arm, thus neutering him so that he's just as harmless as he was when the game was launched. It would be worthless for Tripwire to have fixed him to be able to swing his chainsaw while moving and then just undo that fix by letting us blow his arm off so he's useless anyway.

Could be interesting if u can damage their equipment instead of just blowing off their limbs. Damage the chainsaw of scrake causes some explosion damage without killing him but would rage him immediately while his new weapon would be a palm with scarpel as fingers...

Or what about being able to actually shoot the chainsaw off of him, but only if hes about to die. The shot would do normal body damage, but if it kills him, then you can in turn use the chainsaw yourself?

Yes i also like those ideas.

I have heard rumours, that in some kind of situations u can shoot Patriarchs machinegun arm off, and he continues without it. Is that true? Great if thats true.

I wonder, that if there could be a new enemy, which only dies when all of his gun/weapon arms are shooted off. That idea may have been here before, but i like that idea very much. That enemy spawn in normal waves, not last.

No, the only way to remove it is to giving him the final attack.

this is not Dead Space....>_>

as fun as that would be. im all for it, however TWI would need to create new animations and behavior (obviously a zed wont be a fast as it was with a leg than without). I am a little upset with TWI's laziness to releasing this patch, so im ganna say they might even be to too lazy for this suggestion...

To be honest, as much as i dislike l4d2, this game would be so much better if they went with l4d2's gore graphics. As in, legs can be blown off, so can arms, and heads. Also shooting leaves bullet holes and shooting with a automatic weapon or shotgun will blow their stomach open and their guts fly out.

The engine is limiting this feature.

KF2 however, should implement a dismembering system like this.

Seeing specimens crawl to you in order to munch on you even without a lower torso would make my day.

Dismemberment feature like this would be at least extremely fun, if not that useful. But of course they could always add a new specimen which cant be headshotted therefor better option would be taking down its legs to slow its movement or stuff like that. Thinking for future KF2 :)

Except for the fact that L2D2 came out after KF did :p

BTW, i think L4D2 ripped of KF in regards to certain weapons, like the M79.
