He talks about how in other games you're always the american supersoldier saving the day and how this isn't the case in Homefront, yet at the same time he mows down 9358349 korean enemies with his MG and takes plenty of 20mm hits from the vehicle without getting close to dying.

Weapons also seem to feel extremely weak judging by that video.

Hmm, chould be just me but some of the comments seems to be aimed at the HoS Teaser...

"the audio cue is no hero musik playing..."

"You know we have those regdollphysics...you know we didnt go with the gore factor and had people exploding that wouldnt be cool."

but yeah hearing him say we are no super American soldier while taking dozens off hits is funny
Next time when they present HOES they should say something like "There are no crying babies"

Yeah, what is it that makes fps games with wave after wave of enemies running at you, in the open no less, while you can take scores of hits and survive so appealing to some people? The story may be very interesting, but the rest of the game looks so... routine and overdone.

He says you're not a supersoldier, you laugh in the face of heavy machinegunnery.

He says you meet ordinary citizens with no military experience, you meet a guy who just happens to have a remote controlled tank.

He says you have to scrounge weapons off dead enemies, he uses a SOPMOD M4 and M249 for the whole level.

I was gonna buy this, I still would if they dropped the whole "CoD sucks and we're different", because they're not.

Ugh, this game looks worse every time i see something new from it, but it's a little pointless complaining about that, obviously i am not their target audience.

I could see this game have some success with the CoD players though, specifically thouse who are looking for a game that's just like CoD, but which isen't under Activision's thumb.

Because yeah, this is the tekstbook definition of a CoD clone, just switch the theme but use the exact same gameplay mechanics, and voila, it's just like a new CoD, only it comes with features the PC community wants and Activision won't give them.

But if that's their target audience, then why do they feel the need to constantly tell us that the game they are cloning "sucks"? I doubt the CoD fans they need to aim this at will enjoy beeing told their favorite franchise sucks, and it strikes me as very hypocritical when their game resembles it to such a large degree..

But i guess i am asking too much of this team, afterall, thease are the same guys who think they can cast the USA as the "struggeling underdog" of this story, against a tiny C-list villain like North Korea.. it just doesen't work like that guys, you are asking us to belive that Superman got beat up by one of Skeletor's henchmen.

I like how they're throwing in a free copy of Metro 2033 in order to get people to preorder the game on steam...

Yeah, this game is probably going to be bad...

Considering I paid full price for Metro 2033 when it was released, I kind of feel personally insulted :( :p

One thing's for sure, it will be interesting to see some actual gameplay after its release.

In best case, who knows? In worst case, we may get a good laugh. I like a good laugh, so go ahead with the game, Kaos. It must be entertaining in some way.

Wow...

http://laist.com/2010/07/16/north_korean_food_truck_a_fake.php

The Pyongyang Express truck is the product of THQ, the company that will release Homefront on March 15. The game takes place in 2027 and centers around a North Korean invasion of the United States. Cashing in on the popularity of food trucks in L.A., particularly the Korean taco variety, THQ thought it would be fun to create a North Korean version and set it loose on our streets, touting the slogan "Subsidized Good Food for a Better America" and sporting a massive Kim Jong-il decal.
