IRL is there any case in which blood comes out from the body like a red puff after it was hit by a bullet? @4:35 They look like the ones from ROOST, so maybe they are just.. I don't know how to call them, placeholder is the word?

And something I did not see present is that soldiers do not react to bullet hits, and I can translate that as if they do not feel any kind of pain, and that is not a good thing to immersion. Hopefully those animations aren't in place yet. What do you think?

You ever see the JFK assassination video?

Same idea.

And they most definitely do react, several times in that video with the PPSH and the same map.

Well, placeholders, we'll see better when they release a HD video or (yeah I love to hope) the beta

Tell me how the ~70kg body should react when hit with a bullet which weighs few grams?

Going back to my physics days, remember that F=ma, thus the mass may be small, but the acceleration of the bullet makes up for the weight. Bullet FPS and type make a huge difference to the reaction, as well as to which location is hit and the makeup of that body part. A bone hit will garner a much larger reaction than a hit to soft tissue.

The main reason I hate BF series - no body reaction to bullet hit. Hope it's not the case with RO2.

when you get hit ba a bullet you wont twist an fly around like in the movies youll most likely just drop right where you where standing

Non-lethal hits will make you move, you can be sure of that.

It won't be you getting pushed by the force, it'll be you reaching for the piece of your body that isn't there anymore.

of course youll touch it but you wont be bumped back and crazy stuff like hollywood wants us to believe
And if your in a war situation your adrenaline will be that high its likely you die before you even recognized youve been hit

You won't fly back if you stand, but you will eventually get knocked back down.

I didn't say he needs to fly 15 meters back. It's just unnatural when there's no reaction at all to the bullet hitting the body.

When your bumbed with adrenaline a 5.56 wont bring you down chances are you wont even feel it till your bleed out but with a 7.somewhat round its different that should knock you off your feets

You can get shot without even noticing it. In the recent massacre in Norway, there was a kid who pretended to be dead to avoid getting shot. He heard Breivik (the guy behind the massacre) stand right next to him and fire off a shot. He said he felt a small sting in his shoulder and thought that the bullet must have hit near him, and that he was hit by a small splint of a rock or something, caused by the shot. It took some time before he noticed that he was actually shot straight trough the shoulder by a high powered rifle...

So no, a getting shot may not always cause involuntary body movement, and in the heat of battle one might not even notice it at once. But if one does notice (and I would presume that you normaly do), then it is sure to cause some reaction.

Firstly it is NOT unnatural at all.

What kind of reactions are you looking for? I'm pretty sure that none of the things you expect to see are actually realistic. I'm betting that you've seen a lot of movies but very little real violence and are confusing Hollywood melodramatics with reality.

It is not uncommon to hear about soldiers wounded in combat who didn't even realise they had been hit until after the battle. They simply had too much going on to worry about a sore leg, or whatever. After the adrenalin wears off, they suddenly feel all the pain at once.

This is a natural defence mechanism that all animals have. It's hard to fight for your life if every little scratch hurts like a son-of-a-*****.

Guys there's plenty of footage around that shows that even .50 Caliber weapons systems will barely move the target.

Heck there's a video of a deer shot by a .50 BMG Hollowpoint that just turns around and runs for 30s before dying, despite a very large exit wound.

Tripwire knows people don't "go flying" from even large caliber hits, and the game will represent that appropriately.
Bullets barely cause targets to move because of:
1) Momentum
2) Not nearly all energy is transferred to target if bullet passes through and through, and all calibers represented in this game *will* do that (unless you hit bone with the Pistol caliber rounds.) Conservation of energy. If it's still flying at 90% of velocity then almost all energy was retained passing through target (for example.)
