I think Yahtzee is the kind of critic you either listen to because you love him and he confirms what you already believe, or you hate him and enjoy mutilating your own ears.

There's a third option: You understand the man is supposed to be a humerous critic who rants, and listen because it's usually funny (he does miss the mark every now and again though), even if you don't agree with everything he says

To me, Yahtzee is entertainment, his rants usually tickle my funnybone, even when i don't agree with him. He does have his moments where talks some real sense, but mostly, i come for the funny.

To me, Yahtzee is like Dr.House, really funny at first, but gets old and annoying very fast.

Or like Dr. Cox from Scrubs. Sure, you're amazed that someone can rant so effectively, at first, but after a while, you wish he'd just shut up and get to the point.

If I want to be entertained, I'll watch entertainment. If I want a review, I'll go to someone who will give me a review without making me sit through their obligatory schtick.
