Hey Ramm-Jaeger what happened to hero status & MkB42H/AVT40 being rare weapons?

Or theres also the point that out of the people who play the game and come to the forums support the "lets go back to lego graphics and 4 key bandage systems and guns that fire bullets that ark a full 90 degrees ensuring the only kills are by grenade" type deal.

I dunno - speed up the pace a bit or the developers will end up with a game with less players than killing floor with an ATI glitch.

Those who want the super slow prone crawling are quite possibly in the minority. I could do that in my backyard for free.

lol those people putting up neg infractions cant hide the truth - this game is worth far far less than 40 bucks.

I played some RO1 recently and I realized why the maps feel so superficial in RO2. In RO1 to effectively assault a building or a trench you have to do 2 important things - you need to pace yourself so your character doesn't get overly tired and you need to know where you can comfortably rest your weapon and lay down accurate fire. Movement in RO1 is completely tactical and it is actually how a real person would move - if you're a soldier you need to avoid over-exerting yourself unless you really have to and you need to look around for good positions for stable firing conditions. The sway in RO1 isn't very bad, your arm would sway if you were tired/nervous in real life and once you learn the pattern in which it sways you can still pull off very nice shots. So why is RO1 superior? You have to THINK at all times and you have to LEARN . In RO2 you don't have to think about how you move (you can just run around like a mad man with no penalty) and you have a gun that's perfectly accurate so your environment is far less relevant.

You suh, I like the way you think. ;)

I should also just add I somehow DOUBT this post is going anywhere quickly so its best off for us to recieve a formulated response sometime soon please. This thread is getting anywhere from 500-1000 views PER DAY. There is obviously a lot more interest in it then just regular forum users.

And at this point I think any kind of a response varying from "we dont really care what you think" ( hint: that is implied by silence ) to " yes we know, we're going to fix the bugs first then make it right..." would be highly appreciated...

We are writing and waiting.
We write in a rational open-to-discussion way and have a proper argumentation. Yet we receive no appropriate answer so far. It looks like we are the minority since we try to express our views in an eloquent way.

Should TWI listen to us? Of course not. Better listen to the poorly written inarticulate threads. They are the majority, instinctive driven short attention span young players who do not know how to express an opinion.

Agree. All the pace of the game is too fast. You can run fast into a room, and then instantly you can stop, aim precisely and shoot.
There is no inertia, no sway for being tired, nothing, you just have to run and shoot, run and shoot... there is no limit to the movement you can give to your soldier, except the speed of your mouse... you can made a 360

This sums it all up I believe :)

I have played RO2 for a while yesterday, and the nightmare with this game I was expecting become reality: bigger half of russians assaulters/NCOs with unrealistic PPSh41 with stick magazine, smaller half with proper one. GE mgers with mg34s stolen from crashed airplanes (=with saddle magazine), half of assaulters with MKb42s, second half (or NCOs) with MP40/II. About 2-3 bolties on each side (excluding snipers) on 30+ players server...

I missed only zombies, nazi-misstresses and robots to call this game of sci-fi weaponry Red Wolfenstein. It has nothing common with Stalingrad warfare, these sci-fi weapons completely ruined my appeal and gameing experience.

Unless patch/mod/mutator fixing this mess is released, I cease to play RO2. Sad.

I put RO2 on the shelf as well. Waiting for the 5.1 Darkest Hour update. At least those guys understand balance in gameplay and realism :)

These bugs, non-historical, non-realistic arcady weapons for everyone (compared to RO1) and broken ranking system is a real downer. Its btw the reason why a major dutch game-site gave this game a 7.0.

@ died trying: Not true, Game modes means they *could* have made HC mode actually be hardcore. Slow the game down, dont let people insta IS, etc. As it is now the game doesnt even punish you for runing around like a madman, I used to love the rage of new players who tried to rambo in OST because it failed so hard unless you were very good or very very lucky.

yea, they "could" have, but they didn't, which proves my point.

Going back to my previous post, a lot of people had trouble with the concept of time management. I said TWI was catering to two markets (their words really) and therefore it would be impossible to give market X 100% and Market Y 100%. The best they could do for both is give them 50%-50%. Some morons argued that TWI could somehow squeeze 48 hours out of a single day and give 100% to both.

Truth is, they have limited time and resources. The likely option would be for them to choose to favor the big money market, and that has come to fruition. I'd say, at the moment, TWI favors casual market 65 to 35. This can certainly change over the months and years however (either way really)

I dont know man, what saddens me is that TWI completely abandoned the RO1 balance in gameplay and we get a arcady product full with mkb's and rare weapons that are not rare anymore, combined with a broken ranking system.
I'd rather play CoD5 than this, because CoD excels in what it does -arcade gameplay-, but not RO:HOS. ROHOS is neither a good arcade and neither a good realism shooter.

CoD5 is very fun and very good at what it sets out to do. CoD5 is confident in what it can do and does only what it knows how to do. That is why its so easy to love. :)

P.S. Did I mention the exceptional performance?

I totally agree ... this does seem to be a disturbing trend. The people who have written very well thought out and respectful arguments for or against features over the years, and over the last few months and days, are the ones whose opinions apparently don't matter.

Oh, and this ...
... seriously just made my day. It's hilarious because it's true.

Exactly! I'd rather buy a true arcade game that was built and balanced around being unrealistic/arcade from ground up instead of one with an identity crisis and as result silly and contradicting design decisions, and just as arcade gameplay.

The whole "We b indie dev that luvz our community so much" worked on me better than any other marketing gimmick out there, RO2 is the 1st game I ever pre-ordered BTW. Never again TWI, never again.
