Hero equipment?

Alright, so heroes have access to "rare equipment". But what could this be, in the context of the game? I'm not the biggest history buff, but I'm unsure of what weapons they could have. Semi-automatic rifles? Anti-tank weaponry? The german guy could have a G41 perhaps. I'm not the biggest history buff, so feel free to correct me.

Heros can equip all weapons for their class, so a soviet hero sniper can get a K98 with any scope.

For the assault the unlocks are this:
Recruit - SMG ppsh41/MP40
Front Line Soldier - Pistol TT33 / Mauser C96
Veteran - Automatic Rifle MKB42 / AVT40
Hero - Equip enemy load out

It's like that with all classes as far as I can tell. Hope that helps

PPSh straight up destroyed the MP40 from SMG ranges in ROOST. ROF > accuracy

That's true. The PPSH had a very high rate of fire ideal for short range engagements like in Stalingrad. The MP40 was better at somewhat longer ranges. Correct me if I'm wrong but I also think the PPSH bullets weren't as effective as those of the MP40, but since they were more flying towards the enemy this didn't really matter
