On second thought, I think the Kill Cam is a good thing for Firefight. #1 because it's really unpredictable and battle lines are kind of scarce and #2 because it's 100% kill focused.

For Territory, there's more to worry about, it's more structured and it's a little slower paced. So kill cam off there.

And then definitely no kill cam for Countdown.

Off for the most part. I can see it having it's place for team training I suppose but otherwise it is complete rubbish and may as well be cheating.

I just can't care less, the kill cam is awful. The amount of times i've just seen a shot of an empty space, close up wall shot, bush shot, sky shot, ground shot.. whatever... It's so bad atm it doesn't work as intended.

It feels wrong when I go and kill someone camping a road because I knew where he was though, when it does work.

All I know is

In Countdown, It's very boring to have a black screen or only see the dirt you died on. As for seeing the location you was killed from...Makes no difference knowing where someone is really. 90% of the people are hiding in their spawn and you know that anyway.

The only reason to ever have it on is to be used as cheat detection. IF your killer shot you through a wall you were hiding behind, or shot you through smoke at range its a lot easier to realize they aint legit.

I think the kill cam would of been better if it were a sort of 3rd person perspective showing were you got hit & how you died instead of showing who shot you.

some on some off

some on some off

I Noticed that in relaxed games, its on and in realistic games its off. I like to play both. sometimes i go for on and sometimes i go for off. There should just be a way to tell if its on or not when going into a server. If i had to pick one, i would pick off just because its a noob, sissy feature.

You fail to realize that bullets in the game often go through walls like real life bullets do and i allways play MG and when someone throws smoke i wait 15 seconds or so and just rake it over and over with fire and often kill someone.

Im pretty shocked by this poll result.

The kill cam in RO2 is very subtle. It just gives you a basic direction and serves 2 purposes.

1. It relieves the stress of dieing a bit. Gamers have been studied, and knowing WHY you lose can be very important. Random instant death can be frustrating and this game has it in droves.

2. Prevents campers.
In real life, when a sniper takes a shot, they better darn will relocate or they are dead. It is not that difficult to know where a shot came from. Your squad would usually see at least from what direction the shot came. In game on the other hand its very difficult to tell where someone is shot from.
I have personally camped some particularly sweet spots on Grain Elevator and gotten over 15 kills without dieing. This is not realistic and a kill cam would put a quick end to this.

Next thing to do,remove the kill, death messages also,to all realism servers around. The **FK** server is the only one with all this things off i think, nice gameplay.

I voted **** off,of course.

See us around.

Yes! The best games I played on RO:OST were death messages off. It adds a whole new element to the gameplay.

Off. But these polls are pointless because we only represent the %0.01 and do not reflect the opinions of the rest %99.9

Off.
I feel like a total dork when getting shot and then returning to kill my killer.
But I mostly play realism.

Ingame there's often people asking why the killcam is not working

I think the people complaining and wanting it OFF are actually just mentally retarded.

Honestly how often is it you get shot, see where the guy is, wait to respawn and run a minute and a half and manage to kill him?

It almost NEVER happens, you guys are extremely paranoid and are going to end up worse players for it.

What it helps with is learning the maps, when i get shot I see where I got hit from "Oh I can get shot from that direction standing where I was, good to know" Not "Oh I'm gonna go sneak up behind that guy when I respawn and kill him with a bayonet"

The complaining about wanting if off is just completely asinine, you guys aren't going to learn the map as quickly, it's going to be a much more frustrating experience for everyone unnecessarily.

I dunno I think the people who want it off are actually really bad players that depend on being able to find little secrete spots in the map to milk kills off. Face it the guys who play BC2 and call of duty and other shooters are simply more skilled than you, the only thing you can rely on is knowing the maps better and you want to protect that information because you hate getting killed.

most retarded thing ever...since when a dead guys ghost can come to watch the position of his killer...to appear 1 min later and pay him back

So you say it takes more skill to have it on? Interesting.... and very much retortable. But nevermind.
I don't mind killcam on in relaxed realism. That's where newcomers should be playing to begin with anyway. It just has no place in realism settings.

I can't stand kill cams. It encourages people not to bother playing carefully or take responsibility for not looking around properly. They die and immediately find out from where.
It particularly sucks in this game as it is meant to be more realistic and on certain maps there are very few good spots certain classes can take up position.
