what my guys have been using lately, is the 3 support, 2 sharp and a med, or 2 support, 2 sharp, commando and a med. we have been winning like crazy with that lineup.

tbh, the setup really depends on the map. Thats more of the fix now. You really only need 1 sharpshooter if at all, but I have done an HOE with all zerkers then we chainsaw killed Pat (was epic). One guy died tho and all but 1 was lvl 6 the other was a lvl 0. Really its all about the map for your setup. Iv 3 man bio with 2 support and shap on HOE completed it, just switched to 3 support on Pat and AA12 spam.

If ppl know what they doing then you can use any perk, but its all about the hole area of the map. Whats going to do the best and what perks will benefit eachother there.
Just a thought;)

tbh, the setup really depends on the map...

in the 2 HoE we survived yesterday, we found the thing that was more map dependant was wave 11.
For crash we went with (the classic) 6 med + bow and for biohazard the other classic 6 support with weld-in. Both worked perfectly.

For the other rounds it still comes down to supports we found - ppl started as different classes, mostly ss and berzerk for weapons, or commando for ammo saving, but by wave 6 we had 4 support and 2 sharpshooters.
We ran a med early on but decided the firepower was more important.
I wonder if med is slightly redundant in HoE, now the bow is weaker in the hands of a non Sharp.

Although this worked well, i'm not convinced Sharp is needed at all - they seem more important for dropping husks and sirens at a distance now - and a commando can do that - cheaper - and help save the others ammo with the small stuff.
Our sharps were good thou, and certainly dropped a lot of big stuff between them - but i still think on HoE that if your not a top SS, don't bother and swap to something else.
Preferably commando, but i'd like to see (and try) demo more on HoE.

If you have high player count demos are the best. 6 demos can spam so many explosives that nothing can get even close. It also takes almost no skill to do so the chance to fail is very small.

Its weird...
I was playing a solo hell on earth yesterday on crash and won... at one point my health dropped down to 0 and I didn't die... it glitched or something and I was back to 70 without healing... but anyway my strat in any case on any level for crash is hold that little over look on the second floor of the warehouse right in front of the spawning point shot gun (any of them) and a grenade launcher works perfectly almost every time. Im pretty free lance so I don't stick to only one perk I go for support at first so that I can do the shot gun thing and do a little demo work to clear the scrakes and pounders.

Favorite 6 players team:
5 support(aa12 + hunting), 1 sharp(xbow+deagle)
Xbow for scrake, flesh pound, husk, siren
Hunting for fleshs pound, scrake or a large group of zeds
Deagle and aa12 for all others

But for me, the best team isn't with 6 players but with 3 players
3 supports (aa12 + hunting)
Scrakes die with 1 hunting shotgun shot and 3 for the flesh pound

But it's not universel, you can win with every perk but it depends on maps and players
6 medics in farm can win and certainly diying in bioticlab

Well, a group of friends irl and I, chose our perks according to how we were gona tackle the map.

Bioahazard ( U-room), Biolab (spawn), Offices (ground floor), Evilsantas lair (narrow passageway) Filthscross ( in that 3 door room right before the trader which is underground; for some reason if you keep the wide door welded and one of the narrow doors welded zeds only come from the third narrow door), ALL of us used lvl6 supports. 6 aa12s+ hunting shotgun, it was basic kill, reload rotation between us. For patty, well, you've probably seen how patty dies against 6man zerks with chainsaws/katanas right? we did it with aa12s+HS :p

Westlondon (tunnel), departed (warehouse), crash ( by the trader with the weldable door) 4 commandos 2 sharpies, one of the commandos went demo to lay defensive pipes against fps.

Foundry (multiple areas, usually close to whichever trader we ended up with, for example, we held up at the control booth above on trader area, we held up in the red room which had two weldable doors, one in front one at back; we kept one welded while we took the wave from the other side, ya'l can picture the one upstairs at the 3rd floor no need to explain that area) 4 supports 2 mandos. 2 supports held the doors, mando's took care of most of the wave, while the other 2 supports covered fire or helped keep the welded door. FP rounds, we just emptied our SCAR/AA12 at it. Patty, same thing, Mando's painted wherever patty was incoming from or running away towards.

icebreaker, run and gun, m14 spammers lol.

Currently doing Manor, we succeed with a full support spec team holing up in that cave, we just keep dying to patty. Actually doing all these maps, all of our wipes are during patty rounds.

Its not really what loadout ya'l are going for, its really all about communication. If one of ya teammates see's an FP and doesn't go "OMG AN FP BEHIND US" , or at the very least a voice command "Look out!" there's no doubt your team is looking in for a wipe. Doing it in a pub is gona be hard, as communication doesn't really get through that fast, unlike the group im in, i just slap my friends beside me and scream for help. I've played in many (well, actually there are only a handful of HoE pubs out there) HoE servers, and most of the wipes generally comes from miscommunication.

Best team I've ever played with
Noupperlobeman as medic
The comfy chair and jestersynn as sharp shooters
Link and a random person as commando
And me gears1992 as support
sharps are important for the big guys in case 1 is busy the other can take his place.
Commandos are good for crawler and clot control from a good distance.
Every good team needs a medic and nolobe is the best I've ever seen.
Supports tend to hog the kills so more or less support should be used for close up crowd control... for when things start to break down

I've personally thrown down entire mobs and im sure the other support players have to... due to the nature of the enemies in this game shot guns tend to fair a lot better as already seen same as in left 4 dead its great but some people abuse it to the point that no one else gets any kills or at least not enough to pay for anything more than a bullpup or leaved action rifle to those players please play hell on earth and stop hindering other players from leveling.

If you're talking about the game on Biotics we were in yesterday or the day before, I was a Sharpshooter lol. I was the one getting the scrakes/FPs down while Jester was handling alot of the smaller stuff.

Speaking more in a general term... I usually only play with nolobe comfy or jes because they watch my back more than most other people I've played with... some do most don't... I hate lone wolfs and maxed perk players who more or less ruin the game for the lesser players... I tend to help my buds more than random people because more often then not they wont return the favor... point is if your on my friends list your in luck if not your ****ed unless your being a team player... and yeah link right? Most everyone can do sharp but some just don't seem to do the right thing jes is still learning me and comfy have been teaching him. But we're trying to get him to be commando or support because he seems to go for the smaller ones as you stated

Yeah, I don't usually play sharpie because it's really just not as fun as others for me. Support has always been my bread and butter but I'm forcing myself to use other classes. My first HoE victory was me being a LAW + Pipes Demo for the big stuff. First 5 waves I was support doing crowd control and killing alot. I had alot more fun the last 5 waves sitting in the back occasionally shooting the LAW at the big stuff or huge crowds. Most of my damage was done simply by running up and placing a well placed pipe when the big stuff hit. One of the biggest things to teach a sharpie is to teach them to love the LAR (Lever Action Rifle). It's an amazing gun and if I'm playing sharpie just for fun, I go LAR and 9mm only.
