if the idea has already been posted before I sorry but I was thinking it would be like having a perk Heavy gunner in KF.

Weapons:
PKM = 10 blocks (100 bullets in total, 50 for whoever is not with perk Heavy Gunner and 100 for the perk level 6)

PKM004.jpg

HK21 = 12 blocks (125 bullets in total, 50 for whoever is not with perk Heavy Gunner and 125 to level 6 of the perk)

All caliber weapons have 762m'm then the question of damage is good ...

Advantages:
level 0 = 50 bullets in all arms and 10% damage
Level 1 = 60 bullets, 20% damage and 5% reload
Level 2 = 70 bullets, 25% damage and 10% reload
Level 3 = 80 bullets, 30% damage and 15% reload
Level 4 = 90 bullets, 35% damage and 20% reload
Level 5 = 100 bullets, 40% damage and 25% reload
Level 6 = 125 rounds (only for HK21), 45% damage and 30% reload spawn with PKM with little ammo

The number of refills will be 3 for all levels

ThiagoDel, just a word of advice: the correct wording for what you're saying is 7.62mm, not 762m'm. I know English isn't your first language, but 762m'm would suggest a 76.2cm bullet, which is 3/4 of a metre roughly.

I absolutely love the HK21, as well as the HK13, so besides the fact it would be OP, i say yes :). It'd be a nice greylisted mod.

Also Nov, the PKM is in 7.62x54mmR (the same as the Moist Nugget) and the HK21 is in 7.62x51mm (the same as the SCAR/M14).
So they're not the same, despite sharing a diameter. ;)

What is its roll? You've just told us what guns it has, not how it would contribute to the team, or be any different from commando or support...

Sounds like a fantastic handgun round! :D

I would love a LMG perk if it could somehow be balanced without making the guns feel really weak compared to what they should be...certainly wouldn't be easy, since the overall design of KF, I think, plays right into the strengths of LMG's.
If nothing else, like CandleJack said, a grey listed mod would be cool.

Would you like a 30.0 calibre LMG in KF?

Any LMG/GPMG should be support's fortei.

JUST SAYIN.

For OP: Maybe if some one else suggested this with more thought put into it i'de say yes but to you, no.

Weight and ammo shouldn't be the only thing balancing a weapon. It's just silly to have so little variation. Look at Bad Company 2's weapon variety.

Spoiler!
Is this the kind of variety you like? Having alot of things that are almost the same exept they have a few bullets less or more and 2 RPM faster?

As a comprimise i'de say make the ammo based on supoprt level and give it to him. Maybe 1/3% of damage bonus for the perk level could be applied to it? I don't know. I don't know how it can be fairly balanced :|

I like the PKM and the 21e, but just because I like them doesn't mean i'de suggest people go to work on it when there are better ideas kicking aruond.

This is the only LMG suggestion i've seen that's been reasonable.

It's only a 30 cal. There are 50 calibre handguns in KF so that'de just be like, an ok strength LMG. :troll:

I guess I wouldn't mind seeing such a weapon go to support as long as the clip isn't too big, but I still don't think it fits that well.

Exactly! The bullet would be absurdly huge, making it perfect for handguns! :p
A .30 LMG would be perfectly fine w/ me, that's actually my favorite caliber lol. Guessing you mean the Bren Gun? That would probably be the best choice for a KF LMG, imo.
Or were you still talking about the super huge bullet of doom when you said "30.0"? Cause...I could live with that too :D

I'm soooo happy aha! Happy go lucky meee~!

He meant "30.0", because he wouldn't have put 3.00 or .300.

Thiago said 762mm, which as we all know, is 76.2cm.

76.2cm = 30 inches.

He wants a gun that fires a 30.0 (thirty inch) bullet.

I said 30.0, not .30, not .300, not 3.00, not .300.

30.0. Thirty point zero inches. I used an online calculator to translate from metric to archaic measurement.

Could you imagine a 30.0 inch gun? Yeah.

Fleshpound stew, patty roast and husk shiskebob's if there is anything left ofter a 30 inch round.

I'm not entirely sure, but i think you could fit a large nuclear warhead in a 30 inch round. 800rpm 762mm HK21. I think it's balanced as it is. :)

But i'm sure TWI would nerf it to hell and call it balancing :D

Can you say it in Meters? I have absolutly no idea of the American ways of explaining meters ( Inches , yards , etc.) The only one I understood so far is miles

It would encourage camping, be noisy and distracting, (In the hands of the average player) would go through ammo like candy, and just generally wouldn't be beneficial to the game. I'd imagine 2 LMG/HMG troops backed by Supports could hold a chokepoint almost indefinitely.

They'd have to nerf the gun damage down to "Defense Alliance 2" levels. And for those of you who haven't played "Specimen Defense" in DA2...it takes roughly half a clip of Machine Gun ammo to down the average specimen...

It's right up there with Engineer on Perks that are suggested, but ultimately don't fit and would screw up balance royally.
