Has anyone gotten any play time with the AVT?

before the patch the Team Euro server had all the weapons unlocked for some reason so I got to play with it.
Suffice to say it's a bad weapon, it's too difficult to fire in single shot, the recoil is brutal and the magasine capacity means you run out of bullet too fast.
Would pick SVT-40 over AVT-40 any day of the week.

And yes, it is extremely impractical, runs out of bullets in a heartbeat, but it's extremely fun and rewarding to play with.

Just tried AVT and love it! Got 16 enemy from Grain elevator tower with it before taken out by some rifleman shooting thru walls. Awesome weapon.
I found one on the ground last week on Fallen Fighters and played around a bit before I got killed.
It was a select fire weapon IRL, (safe/semi/auto) it doesn't seem to be in the game. If this were fixed, (or if I knew how to select it) it would be an excellent weapon. Semi for outdoors, auto for hallways.
It should have slightly less recoil than the SVT40 in semi, because it has a hardwood stock instead of birch. (The birch SVT stocks cracked rapidly under the strain of 7.62x54r @ 900rpm) I only ever fired one once, and it was extremely difficult to handle on Auto. Imagine an M14 that weighs 8.5lb instead of 11.5lb.

Some servers have them enabled, not sure how though. Sometimes you randomly spawn in the place of a bot, and you can have fun with it the rest of the round.
