Halloweens on the 30th so any time before then would be it. Steam has sales starting Tue/Thu so they are candidates.

While Thanksgiving is 28th and Black Friday Sale is on the 29th so....

I guess it depends on whether TWI + steam follow established protocols and have their sale before the main one starts!

28th. It starts with a 75% discount weekend sale and (possibly another F2P weekend, dear lord I hope not) and the event proceeds for 2 weeks then ends.

If it starts on the 22nd or something earlier I'll have to punish myself with drinking one of those god awful Green Machine smoothies.

EDIT: Evidence points to a patch releasing on Tuesday 22nd. This is a possible indication of the Halloween event kickoff.

The majority of F2P woes would vanish.

Just stick to your regular servers and if you're hosting one, password it. I do feel your pain, I had the same issue. But let's not forget, the F2P events tend to attract more new players which = more sales, so it's a worthy exercise.

F2P events don't even upset me much (the odd person on high diff with lvl 0 who doesn't even know how to use chat can be annoying). I agree it can be fun/funny to play with newbs. It's just a logical improvement and will help those who do get frustrated with F2P newcomers to play in relative peace.
