If you try and stick it too early, it won't be coated with enough saliva. If you run around with it for too long in your mouth, you accidently swallow it. Balance is the key! Different flavours have different advantages. Get enough points you upgrade to bubblegum - takes longer to chew but has a greater lifespan than chewing-gum.
On a side note, I'd like to see shoe laces introduced. I don't think there's nearly enough focus on shoes - give me the name of one soldier who didn't use more than one pair of shoelaces throughout the war. The feature would mean you'd have to stop periodically to tie them up, or risk involuntary proning (to simulate falling). As you get more points, you can upgrade to different kinds of shoelaces - strong materials make for more durability, but do add to overall weight. Snipers can have lightweight shoelaces, but of course the downside is they're shoes lay very vulnerable with such weak material. Suppose if you get really good, they could give you boots with laces covered by your pants, but then the pants system I'll save for another thread. Just way too much good stuff for one post!
AHAAHHAHAHAHAH sorry, I couldn't resist the worthless post.
