I'm hoping that it'll be the first ever gun-focused perk that benefits from a speed boost. That'll be interesting.

I'd bet dosh that Gunslinger will have something to do with zed-time.

During zed time, auto aim will be enabled for gunslinger for easy headshots

Level 20 Gunslinger will be able to dual wield every weapon in the game, even AA12s.

Weapons: 1991s (perk icons), Revolver (seen at montion capture picture), Desert Eagle (trader icon for handguns, as well as full description in all kf2 supported langauges).

If the gunslinger had no headshot bonuses and would be able to handle big zeds at the same time, thie would mean other perks could do the same with pistols.

Personally I hope that pistol flinchlocking scrakes will have a comeback.

Everyone luuuuuuvvvvvvves an exploit! ^^

So instead of the normal bash animations he has gun-kata and can fire off rounds during the animation :D:cool:

Nah it just initiates the gun-kata with a arm swing. After that you have to press keys in the correct order that they show up on the screen to execute the kata. You can follow up into the Fenrir distortion drive after your forward+slash gun-toss and.....wait, what game am I talking about again?

That's why I said they should be able to take down the biggies, but only with higher tier weapons.

Personally, I the pistol/revolver skills and tiers is what I'm hoping for. Maybe a .357 in Tier 1 that's single-action and side-gate for some pretty cool loading (makes it nice for early waves, but a huge challenge later on).
would be cool to have at least 2 of the 5 skill levels to have unique benefits (like the Zed time and Movement speed), and the rest focused on the gunslinger's main weaponry.

Actually, I can very well see the gunslinger having a bonus of some sort during zed time, as well as more frequent zed time triggers. It seems to go hand in hand with the class.

I hope this perk is not based only at insane firerate with low damage per bullet. Would be good have pistol with great damage with few shots. More damage and lower fire rate.

The best would be have the 2 kind of weapons, some with good fire rate and other with good damage per bullet.

Agree, I think that would be a failed attempt. I'd even go as far to say that if they want to add more perks, they have to make it worthwhile.

We already have a class with decent fire rate and lowish damage per bullet, the commando.

Having the gunslinger be a commando with with handguns would kind of leave a bad aftertaste IMO, and make it dull as hell.

Hopefully, they will have some actual different dynamics for the new perks, besides damage and firerate changes. I like what they did with the berserker (adding parry, directional attacks) Hopefully new perks will also be designed to be more unique.

Every headshot, get a temp speed boost. Every headshot speeds up the next reload.

Perk Speculation: weapon draw speed bonuses. mobility bonus. discounts for a second pistol that you already own. And a Skill that lets you get more ammo from pickups. Also Shining Wolf's ideas on getting buffs from headshotting zeds are something i like to see.
Weapon Speculation:

Melee: Trench Knife. Basically a combat knife with a spiked knuckle guard.

Grenade: An Impact Grenade. smaller radius but detonates on contact with a solid surface or zed. also a faster throwing speed.

Starting Weapon: the 44. Magnum revolver. honestly, how can you have a perk called "Gunslinger" if it does not start with a revolver?

T1 weapon: MK23. The 45.ACP from the original. basically for the 9mm lovers but need a weapon that delivers the punch to keep up with the rifles of everyone else.

T2 weapon: Taurus Judge. a Shotgun Revolver. dual wieldable. you know you want it!

T3 Weapon: The Handcannon/Desert Eagle. The oversized handgun makes it's return. should be buffed a bit compared to the KF1 version and no longer spawns around the world. more expensive too since it would now be the Gunslinger perk's "elite" weapon like the SCAR & AA12.

.44 mag is way more powerful then .45 ACP. Even in KF1 the Magnum has higher DPS and base damage. Makes no sense to put the Mk23 in a higher tier.

T2 weapon: Taurus Judge. a Shotgun Revolver. dual wieldable. you know you want it!
Buckshot shells in .410 bore are not considered especially effective in personal defense.

Gunslinger may be reffered to 1-hand master, right? i mean, handling of 1handed smgs (uzi and alike), sawn-offs (dual-wielding lever-action fun in postal was epic), maybe scoped revolver. And the ability to mix them, for ex uzi/sawn-off shottie in a left hand, scoped revolver in the right, LMB to shoot with a left hand, RMB for right, mousewheel to aim with righth, alt to aim with lefth (or make it impossible to aim with lefth as offhand). In the end we get extremely versitile, fast to react, ready for anything soldier who can be usefull everywhere. While lacking effectivenes of more specialised classes. Some kind of middleground between all present classes. Maybe even give him an ability to dual a pistol along with a knife/small melee weapon/utility thingy. Maybe give him bonuses for dualing smgs/shotties speedfire for some extreme close range effect (this game does lack the spray-and-pray mentality, commandos will be pissed). And i do think that making gunslinger into mobile glassrapidmultycannon of sorts is viable.

You seem not to understand the concept here. The flinch mechanic is something that was coded on purpose. It's not a bug. It's a feature.

Yeah I know... code thats still essentially a exploit at best.... a bad feature at worst.

Stuff like that shouldnt make it into a game. It just makes the tough portions of the game that much easier.... to the point that players could solo them... :)

That was the worst thing about KF.... a coop game that wasnt always played that way! ^^

I know this is pretty wild speculation, but I think the Gunslinger is going to sling guns.

another thing is that a flamethrower, you reading this? it throw flames

also just to be stupid he could have a perk skill that allows him to wield a single handgun and knife at the same time with the knife in that tactical underhand method

Flinch mechanic an exploit... okaaaaay ....*facepalm*

You have obviously a different point of view what cooperative gameplay is all about.
