It
New gun, big Revolver would be nice. Higher damage and, pretty huge recoil, as it is on a real gun.

No need for dual wield i think, because u have to use both hands to fire.

"Ironsight" aiming only. Imo. But u see animation, that ur both hands are holdin the gun. U also see a huge recoil animation after fired. After that you can fire again right away.
(kind of like it is now on shooting shotgun in ironsight (reloading animation, you see a weapon and hand doin reload. Similarity look to recoil animation with Revolver, both hands are showing with revolver and recoil))

Just an additional question: Since I love playing sharpie with 9mm (no m14 for me:p), would all those headshots be decucted from my sharpie perk? Would all my current pistol damage be transfered? Would I actually go down a few sharpie levels, and go up a few gunslinger?

I know it sounds selfish, but Im curious how this would affect perks.

It affects none of those, because pistol damage is not tracked. You would start fresh with Gunslinger, and keep your Sharp level.

A big revolver is nice. But sometimes you need just a little more gun. No dual wielding for this single-shot beast.

So a large single-shot pistol? (I didn't see the gun very well)

But if we're going to open the door to that kind of function to the gunslinger, I propose the Buntline:

Remington%20Buntline%20Brass%20with%20Shoulder%20Stock%20sm.jpg

It counts as a pistol, I guess and it has presicion and control. If it's not too much to ask, the alt-fire could remove/attach the stock? The GS is meant to be versatile, after all.

1911

1911

If this does go through, PLEASE ADD A 1911!!!! I don't care what model. It's my fave gun!!! (I actually own one, a kimber---overlyexpensive but nice looking gun) Since it fires a .45, we can go with it doing more damage than a 9 mm but not as much as a .50 cal handcannon, with less recoil than a .50 but higher than a 9mm. Oh and 1/2 the weight of the handcannon. Something like that ^ ^

Half the weight of a HC won't work, but there already is a weapon being made in the modding section with the specifications you just described.

Spoiler!

Personally, I would've preferred that they made a Colt/Kimber instead, but meh, you can't have everything! :)

Contender

Fires this:

45-70.jpg

Wikipedia said:
Thompson Center Arms has offered a .45-70 barrel in both pistol and rifle lengths for their Contender single shot pistol, arguably the most potent caliber offered in the Contender frame. Even the shortest barrel, 14 inches, is easily capable of producing well over 2,000 ft

I've said it before and i'll say it again.

This perk would definitely fill a niche: Pistol-using Sharpshooters.

We are usually found in the skilled section of your Sharpshooter division, opposite the M14 spamshooter end of Sharpie.

I almost always use pistols except when Xbow is safer or quicker (FPs, Scrakes)

If this perk would be realised, then i foresee a lot of people playing this perk; a la Death Knight in WoW. But then the curiosity wears off, and those that enjoy it/are good at it are left holding the banner.

I would most definitely keep voting "yes" in the poll, but i can only vote once :(

Idk about skilled sharpshooters being pistol users. Usually when i play SS i go 9mm, dual HC and xbow. All i do is spray my 9mm and HCs and get headshots in the process. It's pretty effective, but far from what i'd call skilled.

While i like pistols and would love to see a pistol perk. I think the demo perk should be taken into consideration. We asked for it ( i suggested an m79 and lo and behold its ingame...) and then we realised the ballance issues.

Twi should take all the good ideas for perks and put them on the back burner then consider them as they are making KF2 giving them time to properly balance all new perks into the game...

Just my 2cents.

Yes. My favs are LAR and 9mm for first waves, then xbow+9mm for later ones.

And it is really it's own niche. As long as I'm not forced to go akimbo Im fine. And I really hope that my headshots will still instant-kill specimen (I hate it when I play 9mm+medic and the headless clots block my view)

I agree with you there, having enough damage per shot to one hit kill a weaker specimen that Sharpshooter can already do with a headshot should stay and transfer over to Gunslinger.

I would love the single/dual button made for Gunslinger, in addition to katana stuns being berserker only (but that's another thread :D)

I would use single most of the time, but having the ability to go dual with a mouse click would make Gunslinger unique and awesome.

Consider that the Sharpshooter, despite removing the handguns from it's perk, it will still be getting headshot bonus to all weapons, not only the rifles. So, the 9mm is still probably gonna be able to oneshot Clots.

The Gunslinger, which gets a high pistol damage boost, would for sure be able to as well.

SS doesn't count headshots for weapons outside of its perk. That's why i laugh at SS using bulpup and AKs who think getting headshots will be a breeze only to find out that they don't even count.

On the topic of akimbo things, i am so sick of accientally picking up another 9mm only to bring me down to 1/3 of my ammo. Who's with me?
