I would lol pretty hard if the OP actually were an 11B, maybe even harder if he were a MilspecMonkey viewer.

WOW it is an L22 one point for you

And yes the L85 looks alot better then the L22

Law in game looks WAY BIGGER then the pics u recommended to me

I know theres are more then one

when i was writing it i forgot thats the spotting rifle on the smaw is british design

IF not the Dragunov then the L96 Arctic warfare seeing as its what the british use as there sniper rifle and its bolt action so it wouldnt be such a headshot machine like a semi automatic sniper rifle would and it.

yes the rocket launcher and flamethrower are practical but not a .50 cal. Take the M107 for instance, My friend ( a Army sniper) says that it would rediculous to try and haul around the m107 during somthing like this. he carries the 30 pound rifle 10 pounds or more in ammo 5-6 pound scope and a 2 pound bipod. the Law 80 ways 22 pounds so it would be rediculous to carry around the m107 in this kind of situation

the flamethrowers have no recoil for the most part

Eh?

I find the L22 to make an excellent weapon and an excellent representation of an assault rifle. It makes mincemeat of the various normal mobs (Sirens, bloats, clots, gorefasts, crawlers, stalkers) and only really has trouble with the Scrakes and FPs (and the Pat, naturally), which is to be expected as they're big and mean.
SMG doesn't equal peashooter and I never said the bullpup is one.
There is no real difference between a real SMG and a real assault rifle at the ranges we have in the game besides penetration, which isn't modeled, so let's get away from thinking in real-life terms.
Thinking in stereotypical video-game weapon-categories, the bullpup we have in Killing Floor (although it's a carbine) fulfills the role of an SMG.
Which is why they added an AK in the Heavy Metal update: To get a (in video-game terms) assault rifle into the game.
If the L22 was an "excellent representation of an assault rifle" why would they make what what basically the same gun in the mod from a L85 (assault rifle) to a L22 (carbine) and would they add an AK (assault rifle) now if we already had one? Why didn't they include an SMG instead? Maybe an Uzi or an MP5?
The logical explanation, in my opinion, is that the bullpup fulfills the role of an SMG in both mod and game and was changed to the smaller L22 in the game so the difference between look and role isn't as off anymore, and sicne we don't have an assault rifle already we get an AK now to fill that gap.

There are also questions of copyright and trademark infringement.

The designers of SWAT 4 and the sequel deliberately avoided using the actual names of the weapons portrayed in the game. The only exception were the Colt weapons, and only because Irrational had gotten permission to use their names.

The look of the weapons was also slightly modified to avoid the same problem.

You mean L22 carbine.

I honestly don't think the "NORMAL L85" is any better.

A LAW 80.

There are multiple "LAW"s.

You're a funny guy. Only the USMC (and I think the RCMC but don't quote me on that) use the SMAW.

OH because those haven't been in every game ever.

And rocket launchers and flamethrowers are perfectly alright?

Newton's Third Law disagrees. Ever used a high-pressure hose?

???

Seriously, I wouldn't have had a problem with this post at all if the OP weren't such an *** and he didn't pretend that he actually had any knowledge about guns or whatever.

Then again, the only reason guns have a recoil is because there's a physical connection and a hit. RPG's have no recoil at all.

I don't exactly know what this sentence means...

RPG's have no recoil at all.

RPGs are recoilless rifles at launch, but that's not entirely accurate; they do have recoil, but it's mitigated by the fact that the initial charge is also blasted out the back to counteract launch recoil.

Right, recoilless rifles aint recoilless. It got its name just because comparing to the real recoil if fire by normal gun, its recoil is really small. Yet, if the bullet stuck in the barrel, you're gonna fly forward like a rocket due to the blast used to counter the recoil.

Anyway, dont waste time arguing with a guy dont know basic physic.

You guys are just going in circles.

The flamethrower does have recoil in real life, just making sure you geniouses aren't following the OP.

well he's got a point with the flame thrower video that not a lot of people acknowledged, even though many have conceded on a similar point about recoil less rifles. perhaps by "no recoil" he meant no recoil in the fashion of recoiless rifles, as having minute recoil. so it may not be as a result of ignorance about newton's third law of motion, but rather thinking everyone knew what he meant.

Well, since we're kvetching.

I feel that elephant guns are sorely underrepresented in modern videogames and that this game really needs something chambered in .700 nitro express.

Also, I wouldn't mind seeing an old webley revolver, purely for colors sake, and maybe a nice MG, like an FN Mag or an M240b. Whatever the British Army is using these days. Something that can just lay down fire for a week or two while everyone heals up, gets a bit to drink, goes to the can.

I'd also like to see the old L1A1/FN FAL instead of the Ak. It's a bit more British, after all. And maybe the Lee-Enfield as an option for the sharp shooter.

And more bombs. Always, always more bombs. gasoline bomb/molotov for the firebug. some kind of command detonated bomb. Claymores. God, I once read some "SAS" training book that was basically just "1001 More fun things to do with Claymore Mines".

For that matter, a breaching charge for getting through doors you were pretty sure you didn't want to go through but have since become quite appealing would be nice.

And, as mentioned in other places, I'd rather have a nice broadsword instead of a Katana.
