But hey, they could sell gun cleaning consumables in their sweet money shop.

I think this could be a nice feature. This would make sense due to dirt and high humidity on the battlefield.

I wouldn't like this. I really don't want this game to implement simulator-style features. I want to be able to have fun with the game, not frustrated by complex simulated features.

The only thing I would enjoy is that the gun jams and the only thing you need to do is press "reload", the charging handle is pulled back, the damaged round is ejected and you can go on. Anything more can't be covered.

There should be many different types....and solutions to weapons jamming in Rising Storm 2.

Type 1 Malfunction: Failure to Fire - Press reload to cycle action
Type 2 Malfunction: Failure to Eject - Press reload twice, to double cycle action
Type 3 Malfunction: Double Feed - Press and Hold reload, left control, left alt, double tap shift, and repeatedly do 360 degree circles with mouse, to rip magazine from well, cycle action three times, inspect chamber, grab new magazine, seat new magazine into magazine well, and cycle action.
Type 4 Malfunction: Slide Failure - Hit assigned key to drop weapon, and grab an AK-47 from a dead commie.

Are you trying to get this implemented into Rising Storm 2 so everyone will have to use AKs whether they like it or not? ;)

Maybe the level ups for the M16 will be a chrome lined interior and cleaning kit for "extra reliability" :D

The vast majority of rifle malfunctions are due to magazine problems.

Chrome lining would do nothing for preventing jamming. It's just a (debated) method for increased barrel life.

If TWI/AMG decide to add jamming, the RS2:Vietnam will be Axis stacked too, trolololol.

Vietnam axis stacked?
Do you mean that there will be nazi german paratroopers drop in the Vietnam, with Mkb42 and hipfired tungsten core PTRS, right on fighting with each other americans and vietnamese?
This would be very good and interesting gameplay with 3 sides.

Absolutely not. Gun jamming has no place in a game like this. I think it's only acceptable in highly team-oriented games with large open environments.

The only time I would consider this acceptable, is if you pick a rifle up off the ground, and only for the first few rounds. Once a rifle has been cycled, and free of obstructions, it wouldn't seize anymore, and honestly I could go without any operation issues at all. They are a pain in the *** on the range. Type 1, 2, 3 malfunctions should definitely not be included in the game, my previous post referring to them was sarcasm. :p

Depends on which server in arma you play. Stock no, but 13th MEU runs a mod that has gun jams. Fixed with a click to reload key. It's not really that invasive as it sounds, but at the same time, it doesn't really add to the experience either.

It does prevent corrosion after not cleaning a gun in humid environments though. Which Vietnam is.
