Guide to Porting BSP from KF1 to KF2

Guide to Porting BSP from KF1 to KF2​

This guide is limited to porting BSP from KF1 to KF2. It does not cover porting any assets or textures.



1) Open the level you want to port the BSP from in the Killing Floor 1 Editor
2) Right-click on a brush and Select all Non-Solids and delete these brushes

3) Right-click again on a brush and click Select all Brushes and then CTRL + C to Copy

4) File → New to open a new empty level
5) File → Paste

6) File → Export as T3D

7) Open UT3 Converter (https://ut.rushbase.net/xtremexp/tools/UT3-Converter-0.25d.zip)
8) T3D File -> T3D Level -> Scale Map

9) Scale by 2.0
10) Open the KF2 SDK
11) Create large brush
Spoiler!

12) Add the brush to the world (simulates KF1's native brush environment)

13) File -> Import -> Into Existing Map
Spoiler!

14) Make sure the imported brushes are within the additive brush, if not, resize the additive brush
15) Build Geometry
16) You have now ported and scaled KF1's BSP geometry into the KF2 SDK!

Anyone who've done this? i need help, i can import my map but it doesnt seem to work when i 'review the map'...could anyone make a video guid to it?
