I imagine the .30 Carbines and some WWII era shotguns will be ingame as well.

M3A1 grease gun.

Heroes of the west has the earlier M3 in it. When I first saw it I was like "They Stole it!!" until I realised it was the later version.

This is somewhat only semi related, but with the M3 in one part of the trailer (in the backstreet) it looks like the person goes into a half-way aim. Is this a new feature to help with weapons with rather restrictive ironsights like the M3?

It's neither. It's something else new we're trialling. It's very difficult to tell with the camera transition, but just as the view hits first person, the player is retracting the stock on the weapon (as it has a retractable stock), which is something you can now choose to do. That "half aim" is essentially "ironsights" when you don't have a stock out on a weapon, so you don't hit yourself in the face from the recoil.

There are pros and cons to having the stock in. You'd only want to do it when you're expecting to be in close quarters and the sights would be restrictive or there are walls/objects that would force your weapon lowered if it was at full length.

Thanks, I came here exactly to ask if there was any significance to seeing this in the trailer (I saw it in this vid, at 2:03... https://youtu.be/4xgrPjmImCA?t=2m).

I was hoping that we might see something I'd suggested ages ago in RO2, where it might be possible to lift your weapon up but without rigidly using the iron-sights. I imagine in real life, if you're shooting at someone very close, you'd be unlikely to have to use the sights, but at the same time, you wouldn't be shooting from the hip - you'd have the gun in the shoulder still.

So we'll be able to do that for all weapons with retractable stocks? Sounds lie a good idea and gives them a good advantage in CQB.
