Hell yeah, that resolution will get it's *** kicked by the 4890. Might have to sacrifice a little AA but it will be near max. Won't notice it too much.

Oh yeah, and the 4890 is better than the 5770, but we're talking 2-3 frames per second difference. If it was me I would just get whatever is cheaper. But since you like throwing money around (lol sorry had to), do what you want.:p

Oops, my mistake. Still, a 3.2 Ghz Pentium 4 still sucks for gaming and will get it's butt kicked by any Core 2 Duo chip.

Any good proccesor suggestions in the 200-300 price range? As I said NO CRYSIS SHALL BE PLAYED. holy crap this thread is way off topic but whatever OP hasn't responded. I was thinking an AMD phenom x4. Or maybe an intel. Your talking about this "core 2 duo" would this be it?

I know there are variations but would this one do what I want to do? I can overclock abit but im not a big fan of overclocking to the point where stability is very questionable.

I could have sworn you said you have a AMD Phenom x4 955, maybe I'm just going crazy. What are your full system specs? I really don't want to sift through all the posts.

I do think the AMD Phenom x4 955 is a great chip for the money, and it will destroy anything thrown at it, including the almighty Crysis.

That chip is good, though the L2 cache isn't all that great. I think you could get much better processors for just a tad more money. Again, I need motherboard info to really recommend anything. Such as what socket is it. Unless you just want to buy a whole new motherboard as well.
