There is no work being done at the moment.
I been talking to a class mate to see if he is interested in helping coding for the mod. He has no unreal experience, but can program.

Agreed. I am definately optimistic about it.
I'd like to see this get back on track, I'll try contacting everyone again and see what can be done.

I too wish you the best of luck. I think all of the community would like this back in steady progress in spite of the trouble getting stuff in the game.
Another WW1 game is verdun.
The game is under quite some attention here in Holland. The groups of developers consist only of about 3 to 4 men, so yeah. At this point you cannot compare it to any other major shooter games like Red orchestra. But Red Orchestra also started as a mod, and look where the game is now! I give this game a try, and it still requires alot of work, keep in mind that they work with a small team. I wish them the best!

At the very least, it's important to make some bare-bones workable version with a couple of weapons and 1 map, just for the sakes of demonstrations.
From there, more media coverages and trailers, music and such can get people into the topic!
