Hope you guys pull through on this. It would be Amazing. I can speak for the majority of Australian players when I say a Galipoli map would be awesome. Even in the distant future. Keep up the good work.

Coin_god I've taken your advice about the helmet and extracted the ww2 helmet from the game and remodelled it to make it look like an M1916 ww1 helmet you can see the differences the M1916 is much larger and heavier looking than the M42 from the game. Its just got a basic texture on at the moment, when I get a little time I'll have to put a little more effort into the texture work, but its a start on the helmet front. Next I'll extract the in game ww2 German player charcter and get to work on that, as Blitz_Bob reckons he can get them in game once I've re-modelled the character and retextured it, so chins up everyone, looks like we might have a mod here, plus its a boost to my own moral as I've never worked on the SDK before and this is a little step forward, and tiny success for me personally. Just on a note about Iron Europe, the mod is dead for this game but lives on as a mod for Warband Mount and Blade, so we'll have to re-name our mod something else, any suggestions much appreciated, and if anyone can conjure up a sig that would be nice too.

The german character model looks nice and I fully support this mod and will never lose hope in it.
I think the new approach is very good, use whatever recources there allready is and modify.
I can allready imagine the amazing streetwars with bolt action rifles, or the gritty and dirty trenches.
I feel like making a map with whatever RO2 allready have for this mod, it should be rainy, muddy and dark. But sadly I'm no mapper in the UDK so don't expect anything from me.
P.s. Galipoli sounds interesting.

EDIT:
I think this guy called "danh" have allready made your first map. Or atleast he knows how to make maps with that no-mans-land feel to it.
You guys should ask him to make a map.

Thanks Guiliano, I hope we live up to your expectations, anyway, here's some of my research photos for the M1907/10 tunic, I should get the model completed in a few days, although this is an artilleryman's tunic rather than an infantry soldier, and its stamped as 1915, which goes to prove that these types of tunic were still manufactured even though the more simple m1915 was well into productiion by then.

Managed to put a little more detail into this so its starting to look a little better, and a bit more convincing, have to leave it now until after christmas, the family is gathering, so, I post more then, merry christmas everyone have a good one. One final thing is that we're looking for a name for the mod, any reasonable suggestions will be considered.

There are only placeholder for the map boundarys ;D
I will remove them later or make new ones and move them to edge of the map.
